Very interested, you have pm....
do these come with lug nuts, center caps, or valve stems?
I visited uras.co.jp and the chrome wheels are 19,800.00 JPY= $170.784 USD, silver/black is much cheaper....i guess you gotta make profit to0 huh? pretty good...Im still interested!

Of course he has to make profit. I support Drew on this one. It's worth the wait. They have a really nice offset. They are also rare in the US and I have only recieved positive comments.
Front: 17x9 +30 with a 10mm spacer to clear coilover.
Rolled Fender and relocated harness. You will hit fender well at full lock.
Rear: 17x9.5 +15
Pulled fender. I overdid mine, but a roll is not enough.

Carlos - Thank you for the Pics... Rims look awsome.
(note* the DT-05 are not the same rim... URAS spokes are thinner)
here is another pic...
http://login.thewebadmin.com/sites/raretrick/files/dir/ns-01.jpg
Also, I will say this to anyone & everyone... If you think for one second that you can get these wheels for this (19,800.00 JPY= $170.784 USD)... Go Right Ahead and Order it Yourself from Japan!!! Wheels can be shipped EMS (postal) for about $600+... Sea Freight will still take forever and still cost more than what I am offering... not including Bank Transfer Fees/ Customs/ Bond/ Brokerage/ etc... Sorry but people really dont know what it takes, or cost, to Import products.
Wheels do NOT Include: Center Caps or Lug Nuts.
Wheels DO Include Valve Stems... last Group Buy some were missing... some were installed, some were packed loose.
Will I stock these??... hmmm... lets see how this Group Buy goes first!! :bite:
Thank you

URAS wheel have nothing in common with that crap other than 5 spokes... if you can't stay on topic with the Group Buy, then don't post!! :nono: Sorry to sound like an ass but this is not a comparison thread.
URAS Wheel Sticker Set...
This is not something URAS offers with their wheels but I feel makes the wheel stand out more.
48mm x 400mm Metalic Blue D1 version - URAS logo
Can be placed behind the spokes on the inside dish... similar to the old Work Meister S2.
Cost $100 for set of 4.
I will add this to the site for those interested.

what happen if 10(40 wheels) orders are not filled?
Hence, a GROUP would be BUYing a product that is marked down for volume... only the product is in Japan, and it cost a crap load to ship... so there is a limit placed on the sale... If the limit is not matched, then the product is no longer discounted and/or offered.
Its simple really... No 40... No Group Buy... all for nothing really... such a cruel world... Don't worry... Its not like it hasn't happened before...

wait so.. can you explain this to me.. this group guy is going on until sep 30th, then it ends. let's say by that time you have enough people buying these wheels.. how long exactly will it take to get shipped here, and if i were one of the people that bought a set, when would they be at my door step?

why is everybody getting high offsets for the front and then adding a spacer? wouldn't 17x9 +15 all around be best..?... that way you could rotate also... thinking about maybe doing this, but want to be sure on size.

The reason most places that Import from Japan say 8 weeks (MINIMUM)
1. Money Transfer - 3 days to 1 week
2. Made to Order Products - 2 to 4 weeks
3. Collection of Parts - 1 to 4 weeks, depending on processing.
4. Loading or Packing - 2 to 3 days
5. Schedule Sea Freight - this wait is unknown normally about 28-32 days... basically wait for the correct boat to port, clear Japan customs before loading, etc..etc.. alot of stuff we have no control over!!
6. Port in US and unload, then wait to clear customs - 1 day to 4 weeks depending on how Customs feels that day.
7. Transport to warehouse, unload, inventory, check damage, repackage, label to correct buyer, collect and schedule shipping to buyer!!
Anything can happen... Please, do not make any assumptions on shipping time... This will take awhile and I'm not going to get anyones hopes up and post an ETA.
*************************************
These wheels look like they have high offsets because of the concave design... it doesn't matter if you have 8", 9", or 9.5", the Face looks the same.
These wheels and offsets are made for the Silvia/ 240SX.
8.0 (+30) is a standard front size & offset.
9.0 (+30) is a standard rear size & offset.
9.5 (+15) in the front... get 20mm fenders and dont worry about eating tires & running crazy camber!
9.5 (+15) in the rear... requires a bit of rolling but nothing insaine (DIY is possable).
Fro those of you who plan on racing, drifting, etc... its better to run the same size front and rear... this helps balance grip, and makes track day a little easyer.

Drew
Can I order just 1 wheel? I got a set in the last group buy and I still haven't used them yet. I wanted to get atleast another wheel to have as a spare.

i'm sorry for asking, i don't have any experience with wheels/offsets as that's an area of my car that i've yet to hit. but let's say this.. (i'm sure many of you will have an answer for me). these wheels do look great. i'm thinking about the whole 17x9.5 +15 offset ALL AROUND. i have a 98 kouki, so how would that work? could i make it fit without having to get wider fenders, but without rubbing?
MadScientist
08-26-2006, 11:57 AM
CMO - Prices are per wheel so if you need just one, thats fine!
vinhisbored - 9.5 (+15) all around you would need to roll (slight pull) the Fenders to make fit... you may loose turning radius and have inner rubbing on the front.

To fit 17x9.5 +17 on my S14, I ran -3 deg camber in front and -3.5 deg camber in back, fenders rolled all around, fenders slightly pulled in back. The tires were 235/40/17 f, 245/40/17.
If you went with a 235/40/17 all around and didn't go too low, you could probably get away with just a roll and -3deg camber all around, maybe less negative camber.

i would have to say that the problems people could be having (me being one of those people), is that;
1-product shipment to consumer is extensive. makes sense, so im not complaining that much about it. special orders are a bitch some times, arent they?
2-lack of shipping cost. personally, im doing a full 5-lug with full 300zx brake conversion all around. i wouldnt MIND paying 700+ for all 4 rims. but, i want to know how much shipping costs. i get stuff flown in from other countries every now and then. so, i know how expensive some thing that weigh as much as these (and packaging requirements) must cost. i know its in a group buy, hence making it cheaper. but, SOME SEMBLANCE of cost for shipping it would probably have a more positive effect on the group buy purchases. it would just help if the costs were more aligned.
think about this from the customer point of view a little more. as a supplier, you are running the risk of not having the product to sell. as a consumer, we run the risk of unforeseen costs--that doesnt sit to well with most of us. of course, everyone else could just be shooting shit and not really be able to purchase them realistically. if i had to wait about 8 weeks, i could possibly purchase them, but the shipping cost is my main concern.
Ry.
MadScientist

So basically customers can't do basic math off the #'s I have already provided in the first post?!? :bite:
OK OK lets break this down a little more...
Chrome - $259 x 4 = $1034.00 + 3% Handling/ Insurance = $1065.02 + $35/ Wheel Shipping ($140) = Grand Total $1205.02
Silver or Black - $199 x 4 = $796.00 + 3% Handling/ Insurance = $819.88 + $35/ Wheel Shipping ($140) = Grand Total $959.88
3% Handling/ Insurance is Caculated automatically over the website when the order is placed.
$35/ Wheel shipping ($140) is the MOST a Customer will have to pay! Granted that only applies to the US48 because FedEx considers Hawaii and Canada an Export and I have to request shipping cost per zip code, that only applies to a limited time frame. This is why I have posted that shipping will be quoted when the product arrives and is packaged accordingly!! Shipping will not be charged untill then!!
Also... Customers Do Not Pay International Shipping... International Shipping is Included in the price I have listed for the Product. The Group Buy Price is established off a 40+ wheel order... US MSRP will be Higher!!
Dealers do consider customers when making descisions.
Thank you

Depends how low you go, and what tire.
235/40/17, some camber, and not too low and you should be able to do 17x9.5 +15 i think

would it be too risky for Raretrick to buy the difference (to get to 40, which i'm assuming is a calculated number of wheels) and hold them in stock?
Itchyfin
09-23-2006, 04:25 AM
That would be nice that way people can save up more money to buy them..
I hope they are thinking about doing that..

Yes I could consantly keep stock comming in on these but then they would be the new FN01R-C or DT-05... Its URAS... Its Rare... and I'm not a normal dealer whom wishes to whore out a product!! Thought you guys whould have known that by now.
Special Order is for a reason... if you want it bad enough... you will wait... you will pay! The first NS-01 GB sold over 40 wheels... the Second sold nothing... This is the Third attempt, and its not looking great but at least there is a few sales.
ORDER... thats what I have to say about how many wheels are on the GB right now!! It you want it... PLACE an ORDER... I am going to do everything I can to get the wheels to you at the GB price. I am going to source a different shipping method to keep cost down. I am making very little off this to give you guy an awsome price and if anything goes wrong I could be in the negatives, like I was on the First GB.
*Sea Freight would have been reasonable for the 40 wheel GB.
**EMS is Postal Air basically but for (4) rims it cost about $600-700... not reasonable.
***Postal Surface shipping should be significantly less than EMS, but it takes as long as a Sea Freight... and I dont have pricing yet.
allstar - +15 will clear Big Brakes... I believe the +30 will also but you may need a small spacer.
billgerth - Order...:werd:
dj_hype - Order...:werd:
fliprayzin240sx - Order... you know you want the Black...:werd:
You guys stop putting your faith in the other customers... I am the one who will make this happen!!

The Group Buy did not produce enough sales... as of right now I am looking into chepper shipping methods from Japan... possably having the products shipped directly to the customers... as of right now, cost are too high.
EMS - $600+
SAL - $400+
I am holding all the GB orders at this time.
Thank you
Drew

well thanks for the update. are those prices the shipping alone or is that the price of each rim with shipping factored in?
thats the cost of getting the wheels to US.
add price of wheels
add shipping in the states.

WOW! now bulletproofautomotive is selling these and they can guarantee that they will be shipped at most like 200 hundred dollars and there is no minimum cuz they do bi-weekly container runs.

Mike... stick you nose in another resin bucket.
Obviusly you missed the part where I am working to cut out shipping products from Japan to my location, then to the customer... instead it would be shipped directly to YOU, the Customers, from Japan!
But if everyone wants to fall for BulletProofs BS then go ahead and learn for yourself, but consider one thing! Mackin Industries doesn't even do Bi-weekly or Bi-monthly containers from Japan, so believe what you want from the self proclaimed INGS USA.

All I ask is for an update every couple of days or at least once a week, as well as the price you are trying to get. At this point, and I think I speak for some of the others, I mainly want the order placed asap because the wait for them to be produced and shipped and everything is already long enough. thanks.
p.s. I sent you another pm drew.

Alot of what I have been working on is like starting all over, like it was 10 years ago. New contacts and testing them to see what to expect... it is taking time and I dont have any solid info other than what I have already mentioned... shipping is way to high to have the product shipped to the customer right now.
I am holding the orders but no-one is obligated to stay. I will deffinatly notify everyone of the cost before any transactions are made.
This is an overall change for my company not just something I am doing for the Group Buy.
Thank you
Drew
Mike - I know you want to have an all out pissing contest, but just get over it... you want to see the car... look at the link in my Signature.
