I have a 1997 kouki and wanted to know if the mods i have on my car would be compatible for a turbo kit. I'm running on a KA24DE with Hotshot header and a Tanabe Medallion exhaust system. Im sticking with the KA, so dont be replying with "swap it into a SR20DET!" Thanks

Honestly the only thing you have that is compatible well sorta is the exhaust more than likely you have the 65mm exhaust and it will flow but not nearly enough as a 3 " which you will need . But what kinda kit did you have in mind as for the turbo kit .

A: How old are you?
B: Is your KA a V4 engine????? since you have headers????
Aight.... ill stop being a dick... but first off if your asking about mods that are compatible with a turbo, then im starting to wonder if you can even begin a turbo project. Since from what you mentioned your car is pretty much stock, then you have a long way to go before you turbo it. Instead of askin whats compatible, start checkin if your engine can even handle the turbo.
Step 1: Mileage???
Step 2: Compression Test!!!!
Step 3: How does it run?
Step 4: Whats your budget and goal?
Step 5: RESEARCH!!!!!!
Now to help you get started, im running a KA-T with an IAP kit at only 5psi since im on a tight budget and Im building it up gradually, i wont be boostin higher anytime soon. The first thing you will need for your setup is an idea of what you want to achieve. Its also wise to see if your engine can even handle boost. And i highly doubt you will find all your answers on this forum. If you need some enlightenment hit me up on a PM.

Low mileage nice. So long as the engine is running well and has good compression like the other guys mentioned than you are good to go.
Pretty much nothing you have on your engine now will carry over to a turbo setup.
There is a ton of info over on KA-T.org if you don't already know about the website.

There are also FAQ's about turbocharging your KA at the top of this forum.

sorry didnt mean to start the asshattedness. but anyway u will probably need to scrap the header and exhaust. why? because the exhaust is probably 65mm like mentioned above^ and instead of a header you need a turbo manifold.
