i just went and took a look at my rear speakers (stock) on my s13.... i want to put 6" sony Xplodes in the back but will they fit?  it doesnt seem like they would.

No but guys do custom installs in the cover over the trunk area.  4x6s fit in those spots and there is no room to play.  IMO go w/ 6in components up front and leave the 4x6 in the rear and add a infinity bass link (self contained 10in sub and amp. Small but powerfull) That will give you the quality and the boom for less than $500

ok thanx.... i was thinking of putting Pioneer TS-A4657 4"x6" in the rear.  those any good?  

btw, how could i fit 6" speakers in the front when they are 4x6?  would it need some custom work to make them fit?

yeah, you will need to fabricate brackets from 1/4" mdf or birch. &nbsp;Some people also use fiberglass.

Also,, the rears aren't exactly 4x6.. &nbsp;I think they are closer to 4x6.5.. &nbsp;so you'll have to do a little fabbing back there too.. (unless you get speakers that fit over the holes.. )

I put a pair of 6.5's in the bact and they work great!
It's a bit of a crapy install, but there's no rattling at all except for the covers themselves.
