Has anyone worked with SKR Performance? One of the guys (owner?) brought a sweet ass coupe converted with the CA18. Its was a sweet ass ride. He told me he can do a complete front end conversion, parts and labor, for about 2,000 and the SR swap, parts and labor, for about 5,000.

It turns out this comp. is run out of Delran NJ which is a thirty minute hop-skip-and jump away, so its great to find some local support. (damn YOU SoCAL!!

What are your experiences with SKR or what do you know about them in general? Is this price balls-out too low? Am I running in to the shafting of a life time? Will I get bitch slapped by the obvious? Help me!

Who is that out there checking up on me...Ha ha....I would hope that there is no one who would legitimatly think that they were getting the shaft at SKR. I hope that's not you Ryan...Anyway, I promise that we will do a good job. There are many SR/CA swaps to our credit. Every motor swap has it's bugs but we are the terminix of the import industry. If any one else out there want's to inquire they can call or check out the web site at www.skrperformance.com. I love my silvia and yes....I am on the message boards to. later fella's.

Hey I think I talk to you a while back. I bought my Kg/MM springs from SKR. I thought you were getting a SR? If your the some guy, what up. I tried contacting SKR, about my springs but got no replies a couple of months back. So I'll ask you here; Every time I jack up the car the springs stay in the bottom. So if I lower the car with out checking to see if everything is lined up. The springs/schocks end up being un settled. I had a number of shops already screw up my car because of this. They always lower the car wrong. So is this wrong?? ¬_¬.

yeah it's me. did you think i was too busy with myt head under the hood to be on these message boards?? haha/. as for the springs, you just have to be careful, i have the same springs. there's no real solution, but i guess that's the price of performance. however, it seems that once i had mine set they were fine. i don't usually have to watch when i am lowering the car. just double check to make sure they weren't put on upside down. feel free to call me at the shop 856.461.2229. later.

I am not sure I met you at HIN, you may have been there. But I spoke to you, I live in Blackwood, about 30 minutes away. You can understand my concern. What would ou estimate for the front end and engine conversion? Ball park figure for all parts and labor would be hell tight. 95 240 to S-15 (SR20)

I would have to look into it. I specialize in the S13, but I have done a few S14's. I need to see what the price is. Masa Motorsports is the best JDM company for the front end conversion. As for the motor the price on the s14 motor varies with miles. The s14 black top is usualy 1000 to 1500 more than the s13 red top in a front clip. So I would assume that the motor package I could swing for around 6000 to 6500 installed out the door, with a front mount and a greddy type-s bov and full hard pipe kit. Let me know what you think. Feel free to call the shop any time. Thanks

The prices seem to be well in my limits. I will be starting this project toward the end of September. I have to find a good 95+ 240 to start with. If you happen to see one for sale, let me know.

As for working with SKR, I am deffinitly down. I will be in touch.

Most solutions I have seen to the springs falling when you jack up the car involve small helper springs to hold them in place.
