hey guys.. i tried to install my amp and deck and i think the yellow wire (constant power) for my audio touched the black ground wire beside it.

now i don't have power to my audio or my A/C. My cluster is resetting itself repeadiately for 3 seconds everytime I turn the ignition on and the wipers come on for a few seconds. I checked all of my fuses and changed the batteries and I still can't figure it out.

My buddy says i might have fried something in my ECU, but it starts up fine and stuff.

I don't know what to do. only place I can think of is the nissan dealership but then its gonna be expensive.

I posted another thread on club240, but help is slow there

I know this is a crazy old thread, but I want to post my solution since I just fixed it lol.

I had a weird ass problem of my clock resetting on my rpm gauge when I opened any of the doors in my s13. None of the interior lights came on either at any time. I thought at first it was a fuse. I checked it and it was fine. So I figured it was some weird short. Since I was in the process of rewiring my engine harness and other stuff, I thought there was a mistake somewhere. Just recently I checked my fuse AGAIN and it was blown even though it LOOKED fine before. Long story short - the fuse was the problem when weird shit was happening. So when in doubt, replace the fuse even if it looks fine or meters continuity

EDIT: holy shit this thread is like 9 years old

Well for like 6 years my car was off the road. I ran out of funds to finish the swap

Just because your car was off the road for 6 years during a swap doesn't mean this post isn't any less funny and doesn't make you any less retarded
