well i rebuilt my ka pretty much everything is new crank rods pistons timing kit every but a oil pump i have both top guides removed. i only get a rattle around 2200 rpm it goes away any higher or lower than that but its loud
so i took the top timing cover off the chain is tight and tesioner is working fine
but the lower chain is really loose i can see the tesioner and guide if i pry on the guide the tensioner will pop out but the guide is really stiff is there any way i could have forgot an oil seal on the tensioner or maybe tightened the guide to much i torqued al the timing parts to fsm standards

how many miles since rebuild? What brand chain did you use? Plastic guides, or plastic coated metal?

USE PUNCTUATION!
:nono: do not upset the elders. remember: A closed mouth gathers no foot.

well, looks to me like you might have to tear it down and inspect it. If that chain breaks, you risk putting a hole in the front cover. Be Safe :tweak:

i'm going to on saturday. I dont really think i forgot anything, but theres always a possibility. so do u know if that lower tensioner guide is supposed to be that tight.

I found something i missed putting in i didint install the timing cover o ring. Would that maybe cause lower oil pressure to not pump the tensioner up enough?
