transmission woes!!! 1st and 2nd are fine, wont shift to 3, 4, or 5!!!?!?!

so I just finished swapping the bellhousings on this ka transmission. and the tranny is still outside of the car.

got everything done.

replaced all of the seals, etc.

go to shift.


goes into first fine, second fine, and then I go to shift to 3rd... not shifting. it feels like its getting stuck.

same with 4th, 5th, and reverse.

whats the deal?

my friend did drop the tranny while we were swapping the housings. and there was a good deal of force involved in getting it to where we could put it on.

could something have broken?

I would say that there could be a broken part that has got stuck in some gears or some where or the obviouse something just aint right somehwere. tear it down if you must, but i do feel your pain i'v been there but mine was a broken part it got stuck in the gears.

for me because I spent like 3 hours trying to swap a bellhousing onto a "good condition" transmission.
