What gearing would be better for drag, the stock 4.08 or the jdm 4.36?
What aftermarket lsd would be better for drag racing?
This would be for a n/a 91' w/ka24de. Thanks!

If It's Drag Weld It AS FOR GEARING WHAT MODS DO YOU HAVE AND HOW MUCH POWER ARE YOU GOING FOR?

My 91' has basic bolt-ons i/h/e, ignition, and a shaved head. I want it to be as quick as it can be with these simple bolt-ons and I know gearing can make a difference in a drag race, I just don't know which one, 4.08 or 4.36. I'm using 225/50/15's to put it to the ground and I want an lsd not a welded diff so I don't have to worry about spinning out or driving in the rain.

4.08 is better for drag
I just watched a street race between an all motor 22r toyota truck with 4.88 gears and a nissan hardbody with an all motor z24napz using lower 4series gears and the napz was leading until the toy hit 4th gear and just flew past it. The toy was ahead by around 2 car lengths at the end of the quarter mile and they both run mid-high 14's.
Oh, and what would be the best aftermarket lsd for drag? Is the nismo lsd a clutch type or viscous? This is for a daily driven n/a street car.

best for drag would be a clutch type, 1.5 or 2, it doesn't matter. hell, you could use a 1.0 if you could find one (i don't know if they even make them).
viscous would work but not as well. i wouldn't change the gearing, especially if you are planning to add more power in the future.
