Need pics of s14 kouki's with Hid's. Searched but only found a couple. With or without retrofit, doesn't matter. Thanks!:rawk:

Nissan imported around 70 units in 1997, with SR20DET engines and all Auto tranny's except for the plant's test unit. Around 15 cars have made the conversion to manual tranny.

HID Planet is down right now.....there are only a couple of kouki's with HID that post pics.

Turdz is that a retrofit or a drop in kit? looks too good to be a drop in kit but the slight glare makes me think it might be a drop in kit..

Simples14, you should get a shot against a wall... couple feet away... i think i saw pictures of your writeup on hidplanet. very nice! thumbs up!

The glare is from the glass of the Kouki S14 headlamp, there's nothing I can do about it. There are molded "fringes" on the clear part of the glass which is used to refract some light onto road signs above.

Those are S2000 retrofits. The 2st pic shows the glare from the glass lens, the 1st pic has glare because it was taken on a very foggy night. The fog just emphasizes the beam pattern though.

Turdz is right about the headlamp design as you can see I have a slight glare above the cutoff. I also think it was NZO's write-up you saw on HID Planet...since they archived it. His write-up inspired me to touch up mine and make it as clean and OEM as possible. I will eventually update the write-up on my site.

S2K retrofit FTW. all the drop in kits are far more pricey although less work, but ive yet to see a drop in kit that looks better then a well done S2k retrofit
