Yeah thats me. Don't worry, I'm thinking that a 240sx with a swap will be in the future though.

Actually like 2 years ago there was an article about a guy in Miami with one in Super Street I believe. I have the article back in Florida, when I go home next month I'll try to remember to look for it and scan it.

I'd really like to see that article too. I'm getting so sick of the SR. It's a good engine, but damn is it overhyped. The CA is much better imo, but to each their own I guess. I love the fact that you can make a CA that can rev to 8 or 9000 just by doing a little work on the valvetrain. Not that i'd ever really need to, but it's pretty cool to say you've got an engine that will rev that high (and mean it).

I have seriously, SERIOUSLY been considering the CA18DET swap, from what I've read of it it sounds like a really amazing engine. The sole factor against my picking it up is the lack of after-market support and even OEM support for the things that will inevitably break/need replacement.
If I were staying here (in Hong Kong) where there is relatively good support for the CA18DET (or so I've seen/heard in catalogs), then I would consider it -- in fact it's the stock engine in the '90 and earlier models... so of course there's support... but seriously. If there were a little more support for it out in the states, I'd genuinely give it a good, good look.

That article was about my ex room mate. He had a teal green 89 S13 with a ca 18 it was actually pretty damn fast. He used ICI a RI in New York to import it. He actually screwd every one else who was going to import their cars by revealing the RI and there wrong doings. So now everyone behind him is screwd except me I have other means that I will not reveal. Only thing when I get my S15 I will only be able to drive it under the conditions listed in the provisions of the law. My S14 onthe other hand once back it will be my daily D. I have no intentions of letting anyone know my plans until I get them beck and get my $10,000 bond back from customs. I will try to stay away from the mags. $10,000 is a lot of money to lose.
Wow... is this silviasichigo going to be RHD? and where (state) will it be?

Well I am going register them in Texas The laws baby! I will more than likely have them in SoCal area. The 15 you will probably only see on a trailer for a while until I can figure something out. The 14 though will definatley be my daily D. I think after I have gotten them both in and gotten my $20,000 back ($10,000 for each) I will begin to play with my options to get the 15 a Daily D. This is very expensive but you only live once right. Bakari that is what NFCU is for. Yes I have a Japanese friend who is helping me get them to the U.S.. So it is totally legal and I will give no more details.

I have a article on one with 500ps ~(497hp) It boost1.9Kg/cm 2 They stroked it up to 1.9L It has a T67 turbine, HKS evc, Type c waste gate (HKS) trust boost controller, (4) 700cc injectors, (4) 400cc injectors, Apex Power FC, and he runs 10"582 in the 1/4 mile It is in a 180sx by the way.
I just found another one that is 600ps ~(597hp) It is a Silvia.
CA18DET stroked up to 1995cc (2.0L) T88-34D 18cm Turbine, Boosting 2.0Kg/cm2, cams 288in/296Ex, Custom made intake manifold, 45mm exhaust manifold, 90mm exhaust, power band is between 5500~9500rpm, 1mm head gasket, the main injector is 1000cc, three bosch fuel pumps, cold ass NGK plugs (10 heat index), HKS FCon-V ECU, OS triple plate clutch,
so it is 600ps at 2.0kg/cm2 and runs a 11"144 in the 1/4

Well it is a Japanese Mag called Auto Parts Magazine or AP for short. Every volume has different articles on Japan drag. The fastest Silvia/180 was and S14 that ran 10"119 tuned by "Garage SPL" it was a 770ps~ (710hp) Black top that bitch was bad ass.

I have a CA18DET in my 89. It's seriously kicks ass. I got it in lew of the SR because I got a deal on a two for one from my supplier in Japan. I do own a shop, so that helps. I only did small upgrades like custom front mount IC, Greddy BOV, HKS EVC, Blitz DC gauges, and an HKS GT2835 Turbo. It's baseline is 170 -175 crank hp, I am putting down 255 WHP at 10 pounds. With a fuel pump and 440's or 500's inj. I should be over 300 WHP whick is all I wanted for my street car. There is a serious lack of after market parts, but I get most of them from austraila where the motor is still supported. Hope this helps.

Since we're on the CA18DET topic... anyone care to post photos of your CA18ET/CA18DET? I've only seen a very few before and never in person... it would be helpful just for... I don't know, visualising's sake.
