View Full Version : KA tranny vs SR tranny
I was wondering if you could use the sensors from the KA tranny in the SR tranny so you can use the harness without any splicing or any of that. Thanks a lot!

yes you can make sure you get the right sensor for the KA, because KA have two more sensor than SR.

i was also wondering something like that.. Im getting an sr locally (gonna pay 1200 for it.. w00t.. ignorance ftw) but anyways, i was wondering if i could swap the bellousings from the sr to the ka, and use the KA tranny, being that it hsa teh correct speed sensors and all already on there and would make the lower harness a bit easier...also, ive heard something i think is complete BS, someone posted in a thread i read somewhere that when using the sr tranny, you need the KA speed sensor because "The sr speed sensor will read in kmh, not mph.." and i thought that i was instantly dumber from reading it... sounded so retarded.

Believe me, its much easier to swap the sensors than it is the bellhousing.

Doesn't matter with the VSS, they're the same. Only difference would be manual vs. auto, or S13 vs. S14. There is no 'JDM' VSS or US VSS.
