I woke up this morning to find my car stolen =(
if anyone see's a green zenki with Land ho stickers,
with black Z wheels in the back.
could you let me know?
kind of a long shot. but what the heck.
I'll get pictures up later tonight.
stock green paint. No body mods. lowered. stock wheels up front,
black z wheels in the rear.
Land ho stickers in the back, whole hyper sticker on windshield.
small pirate sticker on corner driver side window.
hood is a little tented from a previous accident.
and driver side rear quarter panel is a little dented,
anyways.. thanks for the help.
heres the most recent photo of my car with the same rims that I had on.
http://uploadadult.com/img/guest/migsbday_055a.jpg
so I figure it may be better to update on here.
Police found my car the same day I reported it.
Said it was stripped and at impound now.
I go to the impound this morning, and find that everything is intact.. missing some nice looking parts.
so heres the preliminary list of missing parts.
Fluidyne aluminum radiator.
Front strut tower bar ( cusco) the old type that comes closer to the firewall blue in color
tanabe rear strut tower bar.
pair of Z32 (300zx) wheels. non chrome - with 2 brand new tires on it 225 45 16 ES 100.
1 Nismo skyline GTR shift knob (has 6 speeds on the top)
and 1 sony mp3/cd player that looks very similar to Sony CDX-M8800
(but an older version) (CD player doesnt work... buttons on the head unit do not work)
also they stole a black backpack with a yahoo logo on it ( i got from working at yahoo)
and inside was a sony mp3 player

350z rims or 300zx rims?
toraji

black 300zx in the back. (I also had normal colored 300zx wheels in the trunk) so they might have changed some of those.

Man I got my car broken into twice when I lived in Culver City. And this was in a gated underground parking lot. Good luck getting the ride back. I'll keep an eye out.

Was just a tip. I though my car got stolen once when I stayed over at an Ex-GF’s place, and when I woke up, the car was gone…they towed it cause I was parked in a no overnight parking place. So, just a suggestion. But if it’s stolen hope you get it back. I hate to see it like how I saw my Honda back 12 years ago stripped and dumped somewhere in Riverside. You got full coverage insurance?

Is that true for all liability insurance? If so no one jack me please...

liability only covers damage you do to other people's cars.
definitely no theft protection.

wow Culver City. That sucks. hope its only a Police impound tow . I would check just to make sure. I hope you find it and if it was stolen it was just a random joy ride and its intact.

Sucks man, like everybody says, check the cops just in case. Hope its just a joy-ride like how it used to be. Lately tho...240s aint disappearing for no stinking joyrides.

To prevent or reduce this from happening, what alarm system or anti-theft gadgets do you all use? I was thinking of getting the "clutch club". Any comments on this equipment?
alarm, autolock, club, etc. just slow down the theives.
not sure why people steal 240sx, the market isn't even that large. parts are not even changeable throughout other cars.

so i guess they just found it stripped.. so the search is over..
now i'm on the phone with the impound yard to figure out what condition its in.
i'll be sure to let you know what parts are missing and to be on the lookout for.

Sucks...things ive done to atleast help me sleep at night: Alarm, relocated hood cable, 2 kill switch (clutch interlock & fuel pump), quick release wheel with a lock on it. If its parked in front of the house, everythings used and the steering wheel goes into the house. If Im at the mall or something, switches flipped, wheel lock on and wheel goes inside the trunk (trunk latch release is off so you have to go thru the trunk to get the wheel).

Sorry to hear what happened to your ride, keep your head up and get plans for a anti-theft system. It will not stop a crook but at least slow them down or they may choose another vehicle to steal.

Glad you got it back -- hopefully not too much damage. I probably live right around where it got stolen, but I've never seen your car except at Terry's shop. You live around Culver City?

you don't need full coverage. Full coverage is collision and comprehensive as well as liability. You need comprehensive. Its only around $200-500 more per year and fully worth it if your car is setup. Think of it this way with comprehensive if your car gets damaged or stolen your covered. Collision is expensive and covers your car if your are at fault.
So I am going with comprehensive to be on the safe side of things.
