Also, congrats to ameen for taking home 1st place!!!
:rawk:

as mentioned at the bottom, this wasnt the competition course or runs, these were simply runs by ametuers on the exhibition course

Yah same here... wasn't all that exciting to watch. I'd love to do a comp with cones HAHAHAHA

Congrats to the winner though!

oh, yea....sorry but i forgot to mention that the course on the vid wasnt the competition course....that was the exhibition... the editor(ashley) didnt arrive to the event until mid day and didnt have plans on recording at all until one of the dailydrifter guys asked her.....so she wasnt prepared for any of it, and didnt know when the competition started....o well, the vid and editing still turned out good imo...

the comp couse consisted of a 3rd gear entry with a decreasing radius for the 1st turn(right turn) and then it goes from there...

my bad....

Hmmm but still cones out there you say huh??? Pretty cool editing... where's that track in your sig? Looks like that venue might be better for a comp.

ha, the one in my sig is in my home state, louisiana....god our scene is sooooo behind from everyone elses...

the track is a good course but the dam owners are so0 strict...no ride alongs, 3 spinouts and your kicked off, and events are like once every 3months(or more)...very very dumb rules..... they show more grip love then drift love....a waste of a track...:(

here's a vid back in feb, it's an ImportFaceOff car show and Drift Comp....

I know it's nothing like the scene in cali, but I can only go to the limited amount of events that we have....just trying to gain experience and have fun....thats all

That track looks like fun... my org has similar strict rules... I guess we're dumb too, but this is how we keep our venue relationship good and events coming.

Man Cali sucks if you live in NorCal... events are hard to come by... something I'm trying to change... SoCal on the other hand... spoiled drift bitches!!! I can say that cuz I'm from there

yea, i understand about the rules....doesnt bother me, but it does to some of the noobs because they are the ones who usually break them due to lack of expirence....

i just wished there were events like monthly...
although I love going out to houston for their events, i just wish there was more locally....well, hopefully things will start getting better down here...

out of curiosty, how many events does socal guys usually get? 2 per month? also, are they parking lot or course events?

It really depends... I know that this month there are 3 events in SoCal... but remember you have to have enough willing/able driver's to warrant hosting an event. The organizers aren't doing it for charity and don't want to lose money just to offer people events.

word....dam 3 events!!! whoa....thats badass...
yea, there's probably only 15-20 of us total that is truly hardcore into drifting/motorsports...
a couple of noobs popping up but they are to0 scared or make up excuses for not going to events...truly sad...

i guess they rather learn the hard way, on the streets....crash your car, get ticketed/arrested, or crash...
