Wiring Problems. HUD to Analog Done!

Ok, well my HUD or digital speedo has never worked, and my dash lights flickered and went off shortly after I got the car in December.

Yesterday I put in a analog cluster, and plugged it into my stock harness. The white to white black to black. My speedo works now, and my odometer works, it all works! Except the fact now I still dont have lights on the cluster or dash, and now my radio, or interior lights dont work.

The radio flashes on and off and the open door sign flashes with it. If I turn a light on, it wont go on at all, and the door open light flashes with it.

Any ideas? On both why my lights dont work and why I now dont have a radio or interior lights?

sounds like you may have unhooked something when you changed the subharness to the cluster look around for broken connectors wires etc in the area around the subharness connectors

weird. i just did the same thing a week ago. and everything still worked. I used a jdm cluster harness and cluster though

well im not saying thats the problem. Did you check your fuses by any chance. You can blow a fuse pretty easily with the metal on the ignition and what not..

Hey, ok got everything working but my dash lights, radio works, speedo works, whole cluster works, the clock lights up at night with the lights on and car on, interior lights on, just no cluster lights. It was a blown fuse lol, always check em twice!

Anymore ideas?

Ok update, changed the whole switch where you turn the lights on and all that. now I have two working highbeams, but no dash lights.

Today changed dimmer switch, the actual switch, no dash lights.

Anymore ideas?? HELP!! :(

Sorry to bump this old thread but Im having the same issues in my 93 Coupe. When i bought it the owner said everything worked fine until he had a blow out on the driver side front fender, then everything started flickering and sometimes it cuts out. As of rite now, my whole dash doesnt light up except the leds for the seat belts and such. But the speedo, Tach doesnt light up at night.

It must have something to do with the blowout. Any ideas? I wanna keep my HUD.
