i have a 2 tone 1989 240sx auto for sale for $2000 or best offer. i swapped out trunks for one that does not have a spoiler and replaced the fuel pump and all the plugs, wires, bulbs, fuses and battery. here are a bunch of pix, let me know what you think. my email address is [email protected] and my cell # is 1-304-521-5444 the only trades that i would consider would be firearms plus some cash. this car is located in huntington, west virginia. i forgot to add that the HUD quit qorking so im swapping in an analog unit that i have but im trying to locate a gauge cluster wiring harness. the car also comes with new falken tires in the rear that have 0 miles on them (mainly because i just got the car and havnt put insurance or had the car registered yet) and a set of tension rods with new urethane bushings pressed in that are not installed. i also have an s14 cluster and the s13 HUD cluster that comes with the car

im very interested...how is it running would i be able to drive back to PA the harrisburg area or should it be towed/trailered... also any rust on the car...

no rust and yes you can drive it, i still havnt drained the gas tank. the car was sitting for 3 years before i bought it and the gas is old and starts kind of funny at first and then mellows out after about 30 seconds or so. i drove the car around street a few times one day and it drives fine.

Good god what a steal, If i didnt have 3 S13's already I'd be all over this car. Especially two tone. This thing is crying for a silvia front and a 5 speed.

Since it's from the east coast is there any rust on the car? Whats the actual mileage, looking like 139k on that HUD?

I'm out of Indiana. Is there any frame rust, and the car sat for 3 years?

there is a small little bit of surface rust on the driver side shock tower under the hood, not a big deal really. the body has no rust and is very straight and clean, minus some clearcoat chipping. i pulled the HUD because it didnt work anyway, i have an analog cluster for it as well as the analog harness(bought it from R20NA on here and the harness hasnt came in the mail yet) the tension rods are not on the car but they do come with it. this is not a daily driver, its just sitting right now until either someone buys it or i buy a silvia front clip which ever comes first. i really want another s14, but i came across this one at such a good deal it was hard to pass up. i love the 2 tone paint, it looks like the initial d car. i would be willing to trade for firearms plus a little cash also if your interested let me know.

the story behind the car is that this old guy got the car for his daughter to drive to school and then she didnt want it because it didnt have enough room or some shit. the guy put it behind his house and there is sat in plain view of traffic and everything for 3 years until i came around like 6 months ago and tried to buy and the guy said he wasnt sure. then out of the blue like 3 weeks ago the guy call me up and asked if i still wanted and of course i said yes and went a few days later and picked it up. the car would not start and after 3 years hours i realize it was the fuel pump so i had it towed to my house and went and found a new pump and put it on and it fired right up the first time. the runs great, the only problem right now is the cluster (HUD garbage) i have an analog unit to put in its place as soon as the harness comes in the mail. i beleive it will need an alternator but im 100% sure because i havnt pulled it off yet. when the car is running it holds steady at 13.5 volts. the car is an auto, and it shifts smooth. my cell is 304-521-5444 if your interested.

Hope it sold, because excessive bumps have locked this thread
