Positions Available - Valet
Position Title: Valet Service
Company: Parking Company of America
Location: Irvine CA
Phone: -- PM me
Pay Range: $7.50-$8.00 PLuS TIPSS! 10-40 dollars a shift
Requirements: Somewhat clean driving record.
Description:

It is at the Atrium Hotel and Hilton Hotel in Irvine right accross the street from the John Wayne Airport. anyway, its a EASY JOB. there are only 2 guys working at a time, one in booth and one in front doing valet. sometimes i work in the self parking booth where i watch movies and tv, talk on the phone, sleep, play video games, valet takes a little more work, stand around in the front and stand there and wait. no real skill needed.

we are always hiring so yeah i just wanted to post up for people around the area so that i can get MORE days off since right now we only have like 10 guys in staff.

if you are interested, let me know. so i can get you the contact info.

Position Title: Data entry/Relay operator
Company: Verizon Business/MCI (merger was originally MCI)
Contact: Show up in person, apply for job
Location: Modesto/Riverbank- its on the corner of patterson(ladd) and oakdale road, the building behind the chevron/big O tires.
Phone: (will have to get tmw)
Email: (n/a)
Pay Range: $10.00 per hour (opportunities to move up in company/better pay)performance bonuses etc.
Requirements: MUST be able to type 60 WPM, net corrected (they do accept people who are JUST under the 60wpm soemtimes, but you NEED to be at or above the 60wpm by the end of the 90 day probation period/QA testing). for those of you who can type like this, it'll be a breeze. kind of funky way of typing though, no punctuation/you are NOT reading anything, it's all listening, and typing what you hear.
High school Diploma, or GED equivalent.

Description: Placing relay calls for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, and speech disabled. you will place prank calls, through IP-Relay, and im sure plenty of you zilvians know how to do that. i've taken a few sr20 calls haha.
stuff can get vulgar, you DO deal with stress, not everyone knows how to take a relay call, and it can get annoying. prank calls can be annoying, so can fraud calls, and outsourced calls.

that aside, if you need a decent job in the modesto/riverbank/oakdale area, this is pretty easy as long as you can type 60wpm.
Full Time/Part time positions available, and they are a 24/7 workplace, so you can get pretty much any start time you want. they are almost always hiring, and as long as you dont stink, can speak properly (good pronunciacion of words, as you DO have to talk, and people need to understand you) and can type quick enough, you should pretty much get the job no problem!

TARGET BLOWS!! haha
im sorry guys but i hate my job!
:2f2f:

Isn't that minimum wage in cali??? I seem to remember 7.50 being a recently proposed minimum wage.

I'm surprised some of these postings are offering so little...I live in fucking maine and every job I've ever had other than my first job paid better than 7.50...for cart pushers at wally world they are offering $9 and that's an easy job I did it like 5 years ago for over a year.

Factories are where the money is. Seriously if you aren't an idiot and you can learn shit fast then get a job at a web press printing shop. They print anything from junk mail to stuff like sport compact car, pretty easy job if you can handle the pressure. Money is really good...in about 5-8 years you can become a head pressman if you work hard and move up quick, then you are at 40-80k a year and this is with no highschool diploma lol...only job I know of where you can make that much and they require NO schooling. I made 32k my first year at only $9 an hour...most printing shops offer a lot of OT. A few people I know were making 40-50k and were only a position above me and had less than 5years exp, so with OT even when you first start you make a lot.

Biggest thing that sucks about printing jobs is how messy most places are and how easy it is to get hurt. Seriously one wrong move webbing up the press or working around the unit and your hand or finger is gone in a second. The places are hot too...we temped around the place with an IR gun and a lot of the places where you work at 105-120 degrees...closer to 85-95 in the winter...probably much hotter in cali, but some companies do have air conditioning so it's a lot cooler.

for reference those rolls of paper weigh between 2000 and 4500 pounds...

ok...enough pics, if you want to see more then go here: http://www.graphicinnovators.com/list_aux.php?c=52&w=F

oh I forgot to add...make sure the place is a high-volume shop not some company with a 110 and a dinky bindery...those places will still pay alright, but the press above is what you want to be on, or something larger.

just do a search on monster or other local job seeker site...I'm sure there is a least one local printing shop in almost every area in the country...

Here's an East Coaster, two even. Barb's Harley Davidson in West Collingswood Heights is always looking for lot guys. That means cleanin bikes, dumpin oil, uncratin new bikes, basically doin anything anyone asks you. You could possibly get about $9 an hour out of em, but they'll try for like $7.50, so be sturdy on the $9. No exp nec

Also, and this one's real important, cause as soon as its full, I can go back to workin on bikes...
Rider's Edge/Rental counter person. A valid motorcycle license will help because you get to take the customer's out on test rides if you do. That would would be on brand new current model year Harley-Davidsons. You also use the computer to sign customers up for the safety course, and to make the rentals happen. It's really easy with plenty of forum surfing time, lol. You could easily get $10 an hour, maybe a lil more if you have the license, minimal computer skills(but can learn), and can deal with customers.

The boss is a woman, which is actually pretty decent(never had a woman boss), and everyone is pretty easy to get along with. There's a company jackass and you will know who he is within a week, but yeah. COME TAKE MY JOB!!!

Less than 10 minutes from Philly. I actually live south of Philly and commute to here everyday it takes 20 minutes. Come on, you know you need a job.

A lot of people need to just get up and go apply at department stores etc.

I'm about to leave Sam's club.

If you like to stand around for hours at a time, talk to girls all day, watch Transformers about 4 times a day, and get paid $10/hour, then Sam's is the way to go.

A lot of people need to just get up and go apply at department stores etc.

I'm about to leave Sam's club.

If you like to stand around for hours at a time, talk to girls all day, watch Transformers about 4 times a day, and get paid $10/hour, then Sam's is the way to go.

I'm leaving it for an office job that pays more and lets me be on the computer 8 hours a day.

Get off your lazy asses and go apply!

By doing that alone, you can have a job in less than a week.

Plus 1, Ive worked at Costco for over 2 years now, I get 12 an hour monday through saturday, 18 and hour on sunday, 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 week paid sick time. If you kiss enough ass, and make supervisor, its 20/30 relatively. Like Crimson said, you dont really do much, Ive cashiered, been the guy at the door ("Welcome to Costco, I love you"), and been in membership, pretty chill job and decent company

Im in san jose and looking for a part time mechanic job. preferably in a racing shop not a maintenance shop like sears, where i worked for 4 months.

i have done engine and tranny RnR and diagnostic stuff on mazda, toyota, honda, and nissan.

i've taken about 12 courses in auto-tech, a few more courses and I'd earned an A.S. in AutoTech at EVC.

Looking to do some freelance graphics. I don't have any creds. But I'm willing to help anyone out, just looking for a lil more experience and a lil cash. Although, I am currently working and going to school so this would be a side project for me. Let me know.

P.s. Besides that I would also like to work at a auto shop. But I don't have any experience so it would be trial and error on my side.

For you Orange County people (CA), call Venturi Staffing. (714)571-3720
Ask for Susanna or May and tell them Romeo referred you.

You go in for an interview, and take a skills test, and they place you in
a job depending on how well you did on the test.

I got a job stacking newspapers and other easy as pie duties at the
O.C Register in Santa Ana, and I make $11 starting, not bad for what
I do.

My old job needs somebody good with a computer who can talk to customers. Technically it's sales, but the people generally want to give you the money as soon as they realize what a good idea it is to take a safety course. It's at a Harley Dealer in South Jersey so 10% over cost on anything you can think of parts wise. I tricked out my quad before I left, lol. shoulda spent some more tho. they paid me 15 an hour there but any old person could probably get up to 13 if they make you the manager of the department, prolly 10 an hour to help that guy. MC license a plus, not neccessary. Right over the Walt Whitman Bridge, not actually in Camden, but close enough to lock your doors. PM me if interested. I know they need somebody solid.

for any of you guys who are into 3d modelling for racing games

After the release of the free BMW M3 Challenge game, it suddenly turned quiet around Blimey! Games, makers of the GTR series. We´ve all seen the good-looking preview screenshots of the yet unnamed Ferrari game but there is still not much follow-up info on their current projects.

This changes now as Blimey’s Jan Frischkorn has posted message to the community. This is especially interesting for those looking for work in the sim industry as Blimey! is currently looking for new staff.

We know we’ve been quiet of late, but the news will start exploding soon on both Ferrari and Project Falcon. We’d really like to be showing you guys how cool it looks and tell you all about it, but as it’s going through a top tier publisher, we are fairly tied in what we can say.

We are though ramping some staff to the team.We are particularly looking for vehicle modellers at the moment, but any other skilled people with samples to show (art or code) should throw us a line at [email protected]

We offer the best working environment in the industry and top level salaries and benefits. You’ll enjoy working in a great team on some of the biggest franchises with us at the cutting edge of racing game tech.

Cheers!
Jan Frischkorn

just a quick note, i used to valet and it was the best job i had under the age of 25. you want to apply to private valet companies that do parties and country clubs. it's GREAT! you get to sit around and chill most of the time and then jog around for bits here and there getting cars.

It averages around $10-13/hr from what I calculated when I used to do it =). Way better than restaurant for you guys that need something part time or temporary

"How about you read the last post and you will know why. duh."

Don't make me post the new rule the mod made after I posted that thread...
But i have no worries if anyone isn't interested then so be it im not desperate. Just trying to help that is all.
I never said anything about a new rule, what I said was:

240SX Chat Rules and Guidelines
Pyramid schemes, etc
Users are not permitted to make money by utilizing Zilvia's bandwidth, other than by selling their parts, etc in the FS sections. Linking to pyramid schemes like freeiPods or freeflatscreens, hits4pay, etc etc WILL result in administrative action without prior warning necessary. If you have the slightest concern that something you're linking to might not be kosher, don't do it.

Sanctions

Depending on the person, the quantity of infractions and many other variables, infractions could range from:

Post(s) Deleted
Warning
Pinking / Browning
Banning

This is also applicable to MLM as well, and all instances we have been made aware of has seen threads closed/deleted and/or users banned. There was one such thread closed by another moderator, and today another surfaces, so the name has been pinked for 2 months.

Please don't put words in my mouth, it also terribly worries me that you have a massive row of red squares under your name and have taken on the task of "posting for a friend" after that friend was pinked... I will be checking IP addresses and such when I am home from work.

Tina/Marvin own it, and use company cars.

Drop by.
