I want a turbo capable of 300-400 whp. Just wondering what you guys have, and what trim and turbine A/R you have.

GT2871R .64... fullboost around 3800 and can produce mid 300hp easy. do a search with that and tons more info will pop up.

300-400 is a huge gap to and alot of variations. If your gonna be shooting for 400 hp, you better damn well know what turbos will support it lol. Along with supporting mods. But yeah, if you want power go for a 2871, Once you drive a car with one of those you won't want anything faster

Fuck it go top mount and dont go with anything with a T-2 flange and you should hit numbers closer if not over 400hp. I got a GT2871R .64 trim. Put down 306whp at 1.2 and i want more...

Flip if upgrading to the gt2871r what all will have to be changed, I have a redtop ?, I know the upgrades like injectors, mafs, ecu...but what about the manifold and anything else ?

you can use the stock man, just need to modify the intake pipe and new turbo lines

gt2871r uses a T2 (OEM) housing. so the stock manifold would work fine. this turbo even bolts up to the oem elbow. they even have a version that bolts up to an sr20 100% now.

Stock manifold, elbow and even the stock T-25 lines will work for the GT2871 Youll need to fab a new intake tract, play with the turbos alignment a bit and make a 90 degree elbow to line up with your hot pipe.

"GT28RS/Disco Potato / zOMG SPORT COMPACT CAR" is the GT2860RS.

The 2871 is the next step up.

Some guy on FA is claiming low 400hp SAE on a fully modded SR with a 2860.

I'll prolly be going 2860. and shooting for 350whp with cams and such.

FA would prolly be a better place to get this sort of Info, those guys just spam the refresh button waiting for the next turbo sizing thread.

im runnin a GT35R .63 a/r outlet, .70 a/r intake. it is matted to a peak boost topmount. it is very conservatively rated at 650hp.

Uhm ok. He said 300-400. He can get a t2 flanged gt turbo and keep his same exhaust setup while making his target power.

I'm running the stock S13 T25, Megan turbo outlet, Megan downpipe, Magnaflow 3" cat, and RS*R ExMag for track or stock catback for street.

I will be upgrading to an S15 T28BB when the T25 dies. The reason I don't want anything bigger is due to lag. Even the stock T25 still has a little bit of low end lag, which makes it a little harder to exercise precise throttle control.

How is the price difference for the GT2860, and the GT2871 ?, I read that article you were talking about McRussel also.

probably the same, if not give or take 200 bucks.. expect to pay 1100-1200 for a 2871

I have a .86 2871R at 16 psi. Pulls enough that now I gotta get a new clutch... Damn it. ECU tune, Injectors, intake (pepperoni has one in the gb), I would really suggest new SS lines cause you can really f... up threads on your block if not because the stock lines will need to be stretched a little. MAFS for sure cause your stock ain't going to hold it, a new clutch cause your little puny stock clutch ain't going to work, would suggest tires to put it down on the floor.... about all I can think of right now....

Yep...

Although I am sure you can find it for a little cheaper if you do some searching around.

t3/t4 turbonetics, i think .64ar?

is good for about 350ish to 400hp (max)
full boost by like 3500rpm? should be about that
full race manifold (new version)
44mm tial wastegate
'built' motor
and um...not sure on the tune yet, either PFC or ENTHALPY

should all be assembled and dynoed by end of august. motor in parts still. off to machine shop for head work shortly..

Go PFC Dousan, if you can afford it...itll be better in the long run just cuz you can play with timing and such. Im running Enthalpy with SAFC piggybacked to it and im starting to wish i went with pfc so i have more control over the engine.

i love this turbo, my good friend runs it on his car and it pulls like a mother fucker... just an example. this past sunday, 4-5 cars on a cammed, intake, exhaust transam, 1.5 cars when he sprayed a 150shot :coold:
Awesome turbo for the money and power it makes.
