Go to a muffler shop and get them done there. You can't really do it properly without the right equipment. I got mine done for free. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I thought those heat shields were good for exhaust flow? The one near the cat on my car rattles pretty bad, but I didn't want to take it off cauz I heard it was good to keep your exhaust hot or something. Can anybody confirm this?

i've heard that once before but i dont see where the benefit is.... unless the gas moves faster when warm? but that makes no sense because warmer gas is more dense right? i dunno...... beated the #### outta me

i was told they keep your floor board from getting extremely hot, i took one of mine off when i first bought the car, the one right under the driver. it didn't do anything. but try riding 300 miles in a 72 nova with no heat shields. i could have walked across hot coals and wouldn't have known the difference.
whateverjames, I'm still trying to figure out exactly what that site is, but I just have to post this pic
