I am driving out on Wednesday to a junkyard that actually lets you pull your own parts. Anyways, if i hvae some time left over, I will look for cars with a really cupholder. Hopefully, I will be able to rig one up to my fastback.
So far though, all I have found is this, from a 95 B4 Passat. Bolts to the passenger side of the console, but it is for smaller drinks

If its a 5sp that won't work too well. Can we say bust-a-knuckle everytime you shift

Great idea, if you have an auto, a stereo you don't care about, and no guages.
It angles upwards anyways

Those pull out cup holders suck. My SE-R has one that I never use. They're "ok" if all you get is a medium drink at McDonalds... but other than that they suck. They're a little too large for cans (the cans will stayput but they slop around a bit). Don't even think about trying to fit a large or a Supersize. I've heard that the Altima's had slightly larger cup holders, but I still doubt it'll hold a large size cup.
