You have to get it even, you have it in a bind on the studs, If at all posible get a RUBBER mallet and pat all around the head upwards, it should loosen, also lube the studs to maybe free up the head. By the way, what motor?

its an sr20det motor. I talked to another friend and he said that you are supposed to put the headstuds on AFTER the head is on... unfortunately the person helping me with the headgasket put them on FIRST. now the timing chain guide is broken as well... kind of a big mess. I will try all of that and hope it works lol

Yeah you have to put the studs in after. I think they have an allen indention in the top of the stud to help screw them in after the head is on.

No, You are right, put the head studs in first. Always. And use normal 5w-30 to wind them in until they bottom out. Do not tighten them any more once they bottom out. Place the head on, and then use the moly lub on the fasteners, then tighten to the proper torque spec.( Assuming ARP)
