ok, since i installed my safc last night, ive noticed when i come to a stop, my idle drops down a considerable amount, now i know you guys are going to say to search, about other people having idle problems, but i think that this one is caused by the actual safc itself, i havent edited any settings other than the initial setup, and the car isnt turbo'd yet, but is going to be by the end of next month. I made a video of what its doing right now, i took this while sitting at a stop light. watch the rpm's does anybody know why it would do this after i installed it???

I would try 2 things. Maybe look for better grounds in the car, that can sometimes be an issue. Secondly, turn on your headlights see if it becomes more of a problem, if so then it is a voltage/ground issue.

what do u mean, look for better grounds? the safc grounds to the ecu in 2 places, and it was doing this last night too when i had the head lights on, it was about the same then too.
my KA idles ~800rpm why is your idle so high?

well, its so high because the because the car wasnt 100% warmed up, but since i used those quick splices, do u think that they might be causing the problem because they arent making the connection all the way? that was happening with the ground wires for it, but i soldered those to the ground wire iteself, u guys think i should just go ahead and do that for the rest of them?

HELLS YAH quick splices suck.... Make sure you use the red ones and not the blue ones. The blue quick splices are way to big. Red ones are from 16-22 guage which is the right wires....

let me guess you have an atmosphereic BOV, so its your DEC-AIR settings on your SAFC. same thing happened to me, when i came to a red light RPMs would drop to like 300 or stall out. i haven't done this in a while and i got the AFC 1 but its prob the same.
for this you need to adjust the settings when ur engine is cold.
-set your NE1 POINT at 1000, NE2 2000, NE3 3000, etc...
-start your car up and go to the DEC-AIR settings screen
-start by adjusting the THR, set it up high and keep hitting down until you get to a % where your engine sounds like its about to stall, then hit the up arrow once and you should get a good idle
-go to NE1 and set it 1.0% higher then your THR%, NE2 1.0% higher then NE1, NE3 1.0% higher then NE2, etc...
this is just a basic formula to fix your rpms from falling when you come to a stop. it worked for me. you gotta play around with the NE% settings to get it perfect, but this should solve ur prob. enjoy

actually i dont im N/A at the min, but i was thinking maybe i could use that to stop it from being retarted and maybe stop it from stalling out

well i think that it fixed itself, because now it wont do it at all so i'll keep watch on it.
