Check for proper vacuum connection. It goes straight from the big nipple on the TB to the BOV. Don't route it anywhere else.

dont forgot to plug up any lines that may have a leak.. if you're looking for a big wooosh sound.. build a good 5psi first.

im almost sure that my car is not timed properly. could that effect it?

Timing has nothing to do with it. As long as its building boost it should blow off. You need to hook it up to a proper vac source. Does it at least surge?

i musing the sard right now. same thing. now blow off. i heard it on the car of the original owner and it sounded good. nothing on mine. question, on the hotpipe there is a small bung that i connected to the hose on the actuator. and thats all that is connected. i noticed on the original owners car that there was a hose that connected to the top valve of the bov. ive never seen that on my car. is that the cause of the problem

Yes 100% the problem

Find a vacume source (the Boost guage one works) and hook it to the BOV nipple

Sorry if I sound like an ass, but that is the first thing I would have tried. It seems like that is the only thing you changed. What else could it be?

also try running it to the fpr vacuum line, thats a typical source too
