My tranny (S13 5spd.) seems to be leaking a bit from where the wiring for the reverse switch is. It's not a large leak, fortunately, but does anyone have any suggestions about how to seal it up or fix it?
I can post up some pics if you need them to see exactly what I mean.

Teflon tape or RTV. Remove the switch, clean both areas and apply.

i think my trans (sr20) is leaking out the back where the drive shaft meets. i don't have a dust boot but even if it did should it be losing fluid?

I would use a tap to clean out the threads if you have a good set available.
Replace the boot.

it's the extension housing seal. Mine is leaking too but I'm too lazy to change it

Mine leaks at one of the switch too. The sad part is that it won't back out, it just spins so right now I'm RTVing it, hope that works. Let me know if you have a better suggestion to get that sucker out.

well, the extension housing is what the slip yoke fits into. The slip yoke is part of the driveshaft btw that goes in/out of the extension housing to compensate for any movement in the diffy (very insignificant amount of movement b/c the diffy is mounted to the subframe). So all u do is take out the driveshaft, and then you will be able to see the extension housing seal. It's best to get an FSM to see what I'm talking about. :bigok:
