I just got my 89 240sx rsp13, manual trans, i got it for 900 bucks froma local impound lot, its all stock, and the motor has 210k miles on it, the first thing im gonna do do is baisc things like maintance to the motor, tranny, tune up, just make sure its running good, but after that what should i do? I wanna keep it clean and powerful, kinda like a sleeper, but i still wanna make it sexy, all ur advice would be apreciated

Do and replace all old parts with new oem stuff like that, "NO MODS" at all Drive the car and get to know the S-chassis push it untill you discover its flaws. Lots of newbs jump the gun and just start buying shit that they dont need yet cuz they dont have any idea how to controll the car when its got that certain mod on it or they just see it as over kill for the little skill that they have. If you have to upgrade do it little by little and built it right and dont skimp on quality as far as parts are concerned.

suspension. lsd. change oil often
don't worry about the mileage, just get a compression test. Soap from SpeedFactor ran perfect 160ish compression on his ka that has over 200k+

new tires and get a vlsd, 1.5 way lsd or 2 way.
imo, i can survive a mushy ride for a couple months, but i'd rather end the peg legging with a lsd unit first.

dood u should like a k&n intake and like some obx headers and like those n1 style muffler tips. and like change out those bulbs and stuff and get some apc racing seats. :D
but like everyone else says just go suspension. id recommend tie rods or tension rods first, shocks/springs/coilovers next, rucas, then diff

Thanks alot for the advice, u guys rock!!!! sorry i took so long to reply i been so busy lately, Just landed a job in construction and been working 10 hour shifts daily, im gonna roll in that money for da car, Sturday im gonna do a well deserved tune up, oil, filters, wires spark plugs and everything i can think of, then im gonna hook it up to the computer and check it for little dings, I already been driving it hard, I live by a curvy street, so i couldnt resist so i took it drifting so facking fun!!! and i already raced a civic, looked pretty stock smoked it by a car, i think, I took off at around 3000 rpms and shifted at 6000 rpms, Man the rush you get is undescriblable, IM thinking of rebuilding the engine, depends of what the mechanic tells me, if u guys wana check it out go to www.myspace/fiend18.com, nothing special to it yet, its gonna be my first little project car before i head to college next year, hope u guys stay for da ride, any advice and constructive criticism is apretiated

You're ghey...
I love people getting their head so big and start going on that jdm lingo crap...get over we all know what he's talking about.
Anyways to the thread starter...don't go to ghey parking lots. Go to a track event you'll learn more in a single event that going to a dozen parking lot "sessions". I suggest since an autocross event since you're a new driver and really get a handle for the car. Pretty cheap as well before going to a drift event. What is solo2 going for now? Like 45-60 bucks with a membership? 25 bucks a membership or something, it's been awhile sorry.

LOL, that was the first thing I thought of when he posted that. FYI to the thread starter, it's an RHS13 The "H" is the engine designation.
