I guess the title and description says it all. Anyone have experience installing a momo steering wheel on an S14? What are you supposed to do when there don't seem to be hub adaptors available? Use an 89-94 hub adaptor? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

I have the same problem. Part of the reason is because S14's have airbags. It is against the law to remove your airbag.

Did u buy the wheel yet?
I'm not sure how hard it is to remove a wheel w/ and airbag but I'm pretty sure finding a shop to do it will be difficult.
Job one would be to remove the wheel and see what you're looking at, I doubt you'll find many people who have done this as most would rather have an airbag then a momo wheel.
Also, momo wheels have a steel (or aluminum) core which doesn't deform under impact (w/ your body in an accident) so the adapter does, otherwise I'd suggest checking a FSM on wheel removal, removing it and fabing up an adapter...
But I guess since you're loosing the airbag you're not too worried about safety so maybe fab an adapter out of:
-1 round 1/8" Al plate w/ column bolt-hole
-1 round 1/2" Al plate w/ momo bolt pattern and 3" hole thru center.
-4" Long piece of 3" x 1/8" Al tubing (maybe smaller OD based on horn button hole + a bit)
-Weld everything together
-Put a jam nut on the steering column
-Put the assembly on and bolt her together...

Check out the following site:
Importnut.net/steeringswap.htm
My MOMO hub kit has numbers 018+0125 and 12112113508 on it. It is not for s14 but works.
btw, I hooked up my horn using the method described in the above website and eventually the wire got wrapped up, cut through wire insulation, and horn started going off.

I think I saw it somewhere that you can use the S13 hub for S14. And the MOMO part number for the hub is mm3508.
Hope this helps.

Neat <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> My write up is spreading around!
As to the comment about the wiring getting tangled, yes, I had the same problem. I'm currently working on a way to resolve that problem. More than likely, I'll end up using the slip ring that Momo provided with the hub. I'll probably pick up a brass or copper piece from a hobby shop and make the contact for the slip ring.
I will be updating that write up as soon as I work out the details.
Another point: I do not believe that it is illegal to remove the air bags. It's not legal for a shop to do it, but you can do it. If your insurance co. finds out, you may end up paying some form of premium since you get deductions for having airbags.
However, I think airbags are for wussies. Get a harness and have fun. You'll be safer with a good racing harness than you would with an airbag.
