Its been a year since Ramana Lagemann has driven and a year since the '95 Spec Group A Escort Cosworth has been run but Weegee Smith and the crew at Dent Sport Garage pulled off a last minute effort and achieved an overall win at Maine Forest Rally, qualifying for the X-Games. After day one, the top 7 cars were seperated by less than 30 seconds which shows how many good drivers there are in the US now. With Jamaican co-driver Michael Fennell, Ramana really put the pressure on and reminded people that he is still one of the top rally drivers in the country. All of you SoCal guys better show up to the Home Depot Center for the final superspecial stage. There are 11 other cars, including Colin McRae and Nicky Grist, but you know who to cheer for.
Photos from Maine.

The 7 speed FFD/Ricardo gearbox will be checked over tonight and a new Mar-M 247 group A turbo will also be installed. We were logging most of the stages and maximum EGT with the ALS on high was close to 1400 CELCIUS!!!! There is a reason the Mar-M 247 turbine and shaft alone are $2200. Boost off throttle at 1800 rpms was 3.1 bar absolute.
We have a lot to do before I leave with the car on Wednesday.
