please HELP ~~~~~ ARG
well here's the story for those who are interested ... i was going over to church on friday night with my 95 240 automatic
and i smelt something burning, as i thought it was the car in front of me because it was very old and smoking
now while i was parking the car cuts out of me... with a pop and then smoke from underneath. i pop the hood as fast as i can and check the injectors and everything, and then all of a sudden my friend was like YOO ITS ON FIRE .. i look down to the harness next to my oil filter next to the engine mounts and i see a fire..
there's a cop who's sorta like a friend always parked there and i call him and im like YOOOOO FIRE and he jumps into his trunk and takes out window washer fluid ( err.. idiot ? ) and dumps it and the flame gets bigger~ i was like WTF and then his partner peter gets the fire extinguisher and flushes the car. now i really thank god for being there or else it was a 2 block troop to my church. so it was good. now... my car won't start...
now, i think the cause of the fire was water that was splashed into the harness connectors., and didn't dry up. but what im wondering, that puddle incident was about 9 hours before i went to church and the car started and ran all those times before that. but idk .. the fire doesn't really look like it's anywhere NEAR my connectors... more lik eit's a little far from the connector itself. im just thinking it might've been something spontaneous, i mean with my luck these days.. it's good that the car didn't blow up.
so because of this stupid fucken tropical storm or whatever on the east side of the states it killed my car.
here are some pics of what burnt... coudln't really get good pics right now
you can see how the covering tube is melted... no where near my connectors.. and you can see my white fuel filter covered in the fire extinguisher chemicals.. YUCK .. * and that thing really kills your nose oof *
