I was wondering if there are any time attacks for s13/14/15 similar to RMR's AE86 time attack.. Which isn't even limited to ae86's anymore.. Usually ran at Streets of Willow, this series is pretty much open to any 4age equipped car can run. No cages are required since it is not a wheel to wheel race.. so pretty much any 4age car that can pass tech can run. No requirements on experience either..
I was planning on running those events when I had a corolla, but since I had to sell her due to financial reasons, I'd still like to do something like that with my s13.
Is there anything like that out there?
And if there isn't is anyone geniunely interested in participating in such an event?

S-chassis time attack would be sweet. I would hit one up if somebody set it up. It would be nice to have organized classes as well as prizes for the top drivers. I would email an event organizer and see if you can get the ball rolling if you are serious about it.

I'll definitely start asking around to see what I can get going... hit me up if you have any ideas...
and as for classes.. i was thinking non-r compound street tires only... and perhaps have 2 classes of 10 or so cars? All motor class and forced induction class..
what do you guys think?

Well best place is probably reno fenley.... awesome track LONG as hell straights.... Cheap too, but just a little far. I was entertaining this idea for awhile but got SO shot down because people were so skeptical. I was like eh... no supporters here....

post up a pic..
long straights aren't good for time attacks 'cuz its easier to distinguish between power levels of cars..

you guys haven't been to Infineon, I take it?
only one real "straight", the other has a kink in it...multiple elevation changes going up and going down, blind turns, long curving sweeper, esses upon esses, tis perfect
every turn links to another, so it is a test of a car's ability to translate the driver's skill, and power will not cure mistakes

Correction used to race bikes at Sears, good track, but new surface scares me... Another couple of years before it becomes not too slick in the off cambers, same at Thill tooo....

Turdz and I found a new line through one of the corners, and my instructor actually liked it better than the established one. That was rad.
Something about coming through a set of esses with elevation changes gives me goosebumps...

yea infenion is the tits, but its just to premier and shit. If I even get a little oversteer, theres going to be hell to pay..... That track in reno does look awsome, but A. its in Reno, and B you just said it has a lot of straights, so thats why I said lame.

I will be entering the Time Attack Redline puts on in Dec at Button Willow. I would like to see more S chassis out there besides myself. I will be in the unlimited class. Last one i went to was just Casper Canul and an S13 from Momentum GT. I would love to see an S Chassis group. But i would just like to see more people in general getting into it.

I'd be down for time attack on the Streets or even Horsethief. Both tracks are tight enough that horsepower doesn't really mean much, making driver and proper suspension setup that much more important.
I'd love to run Buttonwillow but my car is still slow as hell. Straights are not my friend; I've never been above 90 at the track, in 520+ miles. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up in braking and through corners.
