i work at a hotel as a bellman, and we have tons of japanese tourists all the time. very few speak english.
i was coming down in the elevator with a young japanese guy and i asked him if he spoke english, he said no.
i continued to ask him if he drove a car back in japan, and i made all the steering motions and such.
he understood and said yes.
i said, "Honda? Toyota?"
no no nissan he said.
me too, me too is say..
then he says............ a 180
aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh, i dirive an s13 silvia, and i was all excited so i think he got the picture. he said he had flip lights and so i showed him out tto the front lot where i had just moved my car to.
he saw it from a far and said "yeah yeah"
i showed him my exhaust...
anyways i ran into him again because he needed hot water, the english speaking tour escort ask if i could help, i said only because he has a 240sx.
she became a translator as i continued to ask questions, he said he had something like an aero option front end, and he said his car was 5 years newer than mine, mine is a 90, he just said 5 after i said my year so...
he also has kyb's i believe but he called them something else, but he knew what i meant. and i guess tokico is a universal word as well..
i just thought it was fucking hilarious and thought i should share it with you guys..
anyone wanna give me any interesting questions to ask in japanese, i will see this guy tomorrow again as well.
