hey i just got back into the 240 game and got my self a decent condition single cam. id rather go with an SR turbo setup than go SR right now. the thing is i cant seem to find a manifold for the motor, only for the DE's. does anyone make one? id rahter not have to make one myself, so any help is appreciated.

your best bet is to get a gladman mani and buy a rb20 or rb25 turbo which is basically a t25 with a t3 flange

i see, ill look into that. but i also was planning on going t28 ball bearing in the future. i got a good deal on converting the t25 to it. is the rb25 turbo ball bearing by anychance? or can i make it for a decent price. and if i did go rb turbo, could i just use rb downpipe too? im trying to do the least custom stuff possible, so id rather not do custom DP too. thanks

looks like you need to do a little more research

Yes you could use the rb downpipe if you get a custom elbow made.

DIY kits are almost always custom jobs. You could get away with it cutting corners here and there, but in the end, you would have just saved yourself time and money by doing it right the first time. Check out the FAQ in Tech on KAETs.

Yes, I would go with the Gladman. I am going with them for my KAE-T setup. Mine is pretty much going to be a custom setup. I am using:

DSM Injectors
Z31 300zx Rebuilt T3
Gladman Mani
Front Mount
Etc.

Definately check out our KAE FAQ and also try KA-T.Org for questions not covered here. *a

on ebay, they are making sohc manifolds for t3 turbos. Word is though, that some turbos wont clear the hood brackets, its your call.

check out ka-t.org if you are looking for more information, I belive jordan gladman isnt making any manifolds or anything right now, If you havent already bought a T25 id try to find something with a T3 flange, a T3 from a 86-88 thunderbird t-coupe has a 63. a/r, pretty cheap too, or saabs or Z31 turbos as stated above. To answer your question JGS manifolds are your best bet, if you have any more questions about ka-t stuff feel free to pm me.

also check out Holset turbos from Diesel trucks, they have a T3 flange, cheap and lots of power potential.

wouldn't having a t25 on a larger displacement motor over the SR give it essentially a supercharge type feeling and response?

with a T25 it will spool up extremely quickly but It will die off in the top end drasticly, if you want a combination of both top and low end, GT2871.

how will the rb25 turbo do with the low and top end response?

Not that good probably, seeing as the RB25 turbo is designed to work with the mass flow of 6 cylinders, with a displacement of 2.5L, although I'm talking out my ass with what I just said (can't back it up with data cause I'm tired and my common sense is smashed to a pulp from not having enough sleep for the past like 4 nights).
