Hey I am posting this for my friend he has a s13 with a sr20det redtop walboro fuel pump, godspeed (EBAY) intercooler, turbo xs rfl bov and a 3" downpipe back exhaust.

-Heres what the problem is, it will not hold idle the idle is all over, If you hold the gas at 3k rpm it just falls down even at 5k rpm. he had a misfire and he pulled one coil at a time and the first one didnt make a difference. I think he got another one and it didnt make a difference the computer read code 34 knock sensor and 55 no malfunction. he was thinking it might be the throttle position sensor. he has the one with like 5-12 wires not the 3 wire one. I would check the voltage but i dont know which wires to use or if thats the problem.

anyone with suggestions let me know thanks.

btw im not sure if the car completly dies but he said he has to keep flooring it to keep it moving down the road. lol wierd

PROBLEM:ecu read knock sensor, well knock sensor and tps corospond therefore it was the tps unplugged it ran fine luckly i had a extra for him. put on all was good. tps did not fix the idle drop after reving up adjusted cas and idle screw fixed that. The misfire he though he fixed by replacing the coilpack on cyl. 1 was actually the harness when i bent the 3 wires on the plug up it stopped the misfire. Only 1 thing to fix on that for it to be perfect seems that ever sense we hooked up the greddy turbo timer it dosnt just cut off it takes about 4-8 seconds of rough idleing before it cuts off after the key is turned off. 98% sure timing is correct we had to take the valve cover off and set it when we first installed it. i read somewhere on hear peoples cars run fine when the timing is 20degree off but i dont know about that. also someone said it may be the timing is to advanced. and suggestions on fixing that would be awsome thanks

I think he has more than just idle problems. You can try to bypass the IACV to see if its faulty.

Pull the hose that goes to the IACV (to the right of the throttle body) and plug it somehow. Open the throttle body by tightening the adjustment screw.

You can also just plug the valve with your right thumb while you hold the TB open slightly with your left hand, if it still idles wierd, then it could be a bad injector, bad coil pack, bad ignitor chip, etc..

Looks at the plugs and make sure they're not black

I saw his car today he stopped on his lunch break so didnt have much time i reved up to 3 tried to hold it and it went down to about 1500 with the pedal in the same place then went back up. I also reved it to 5 i dint want to hold it ther long but it seemed like it was going to stay. after I reved up to 5 and let off hte idle dropped but goes down to like 200 almost stalls out then goes to 1300 and then to normal idle 800-850
