I'm selling a set of Brand New Carbon Fiber Doors for an 89-94 Nissan 240sx. I'm not sure of the exact weight but I think the shells weigh between 15-20 lbs each before adding the power window motors and wiring and stuff.

I have one of them on the car now so I'd be willing to knock some money off the price if you can get me a replacement door or give me your stock one when you pick them up. The mounted door has the window, power locks, latches and all brackets installed!! It looks brand new! The passenger door is brand new, just taken out of the packaging!! It will require the power window motor, handle and latch from a donor door before installation.

Asking $800 OBO
or $650 plus your stock driver's door
These retail for over $1,100 dollars! Pick-up only please, no shipping. Doors are located in Nashville, TN
Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.

For some odd reason, i have seen more people selling these carbon doors right after they buy them than carbon hoods etc. Any particular reason other than just to free up cash? I am curious as a fabricator myself, if there is an issue with the door and how it installs/functions.

Thanks.

I'm not sure of the exact weight, but they are unbelievably light and I can easily lift it above my head with one hand.

I'm not sure why other people sell them, but I personally have a few reasons. Besides the fact I really need the cash to buy tires and a few mechanical things that need fixing, I just haven't had the time or motivation to install the second door. It does take a few hours to disassymble the window, lock and latch mechanisms and reassymble them in the new door. The carbon fiber doors look amazing and are incredibly light but they don't have any cross beam support, so in the event of a crash I'd feel much safer with a stock door. Besides that, the door fits good and all the power accessories bolted right on with no problems. I just don't need carbon fiber doors on my daily driver and I really need the money for other things for the car :)

Well if that is your daily driver, you def need side impact beams for your protection. They seem like they would be better just for show cars. I am fabbing carbon doors for our track car, but they are just carbon fiber skins bonded to 1/4" aluminum honeycomb core with no window or wiring. And our cage side beams extend into the door cavity. Can't gamble with no side protection. You are doing the right thing really. But the really strange thing about it is, with a retail price like that, they could make a very good composite impact protection system inside the door that would perform just as well as oem. Or maybe it was just beyond
their interest to do so. :goyou:

I was impressed by the fitment, but as you said, a little dissappointed in the lack of internal support. They do say "Racing use ONLY" on the stickers that came with them. If I didn't need the money so bad, I'd just stick a roll cage in it to make up for it. Your track car sounds like it's going to be a seriously cool ride!

I thought it was a good buy. Too bad the doors are one of the things not compatible between the s13/s14. :(

The term "Racing Use Only" gets thrown around alot. But in Racing, driver safety
is the most important factor with parts.
Our track car is a gutted S14 Silvia from Japan. It takes alot of planning to do a car right. Our first event is in Dec at Buttom Willow here in Cali for a Time Attack
in the unlimited class. We don't have a ton of H.P. but we make up for it in car weight. I think we will weigh in at 2,300 lb's.
