My headlights on the car i just bought do not go up and down. You can do it manually but i don't really want to. The guys said he bought the car like that and he has replaced the motors, relays, and a bunch of other stuff. I figured it is something stupid and easy because both of them don't work. Is there anything that is common on these cars that would make it do this or does anyone know what i should try, thanks.

Pull out a multi meter and see if you are getting power.

check Fuse, check relay, then motor connection, to see if it's plugged in.

i was checking them earlier today and turning the lights on i don't hear anything but when i shut them off and then press the button to put them down i can hear the relay clicking so im kinda thinking it is a bad ground somewhere. does anyone know where any other grounds are besides the two in the motors? thanks for your help.

i actually just had the same problem happen to me... TODAY! i checked all the relays... and everything and the relay that brings the lights up when the lights on switch isn't getting power. lemme know if you have the same problem.
i'm pretty sure my headlight switch is bad because the relay gets power when i turn the high beams on, and it brings up the headlights. the conection on the relay that is supposed to be getting power when the headlight switch is turned on is the terminal position 2 on the gray HL RET relay. check it when the headlights are off, then when they're on. then check it when you turn the high beams on, or flash the high beams. lemme know if you dont have power there.
i'll be getting a new switch this weekend and installing it...
let us know what happens to you
