I just picked these up and cleaned and painted them. I got them for a fair price. I had to buy the full set though. The S-14 Silvia already has the four piston front calipers so I guess I will put them on my wifes car. I painted them a similar color to my car and when I get my white rims back on I think it will look good. It will not stick out like other colors.

Since the net provider I am using is well.......I won't say they are watching me <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':look:'> &nbsp;I have no way to openly post them on the site so you will just have to click the link.

R32 Calipers Oh and my new Greddy Front mount. (http://community.webshots.com/user/silviasichigo)

There is also a pic of my new front mount. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':love:'>

Hey, what do you know, I got the same calipers, except mine are Z32 rear calipers, guess I don't have the WOOO <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nervous.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':nervous:'> factor, huh

But serious, are you going to bypass the e-brake ? Or keep it ?
If so, will you be extending the lines ? how so ?

Nice FMIC

I was under the impression that the R32 (GTR) calipers were buffer (bigger-beefier) than the Z32 ones...? and that the R32 brake upgrade was one that the Z32 camp did.
Are they actually the same brake then? or... what's the deal?

Well actually these are off of a GTS-t. I only took the calipers. You see the type M skyline has mostly bolt on stuff to the turbo s-14. The brake line fitting is the exact same size and the lines do not have to be extended and you do not lose your E-brake. Since the GTS-t and the Silvia have the same rotors (But not rear hubs) I can just take the crappy rear 14 caliper off and put the nice looking gts-t one on. It is a direct bolt on. By the way how is the color?

Are the GTS-t calipers expensive and are they hard to find?

I'm talking about the REAR caliper.

Umm... so am I? &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> &nbsp;

Anyway are you telling me (Sichigo) that the GTS-T and S14 K's have the same brakes all 'round? or are the calipers bigger but with a same sized disc? ... I'm sorta confused. If I'm looking, for example, for a brake upgrade to my (hypothetical) S14 K's, the R33 GT25-T (GTS-T/GT-T) calipers will bolt directly on to my (hypothetical) car? ...
Will R32 calipers then fit on S13 caliper-mount-thingies? Or is that "just different"? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> &nbsp;
I'd love to be able &nbsp;to pick up R32 brakes, re-drill the discs/rotors/hats (whatever needs to be re-drilled) and bolt 'em right on to my 180sx... but I doubt that's "the same".

Ohhh ... &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':blush:'>

They will mount up.

If you have the time, you should document the install and make a writeup for it and take some pics <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Let me know if you do please. Thanks!

Let's say this,

Ok the Skyline and the S 14 Silvia have the same set up when it comes brakes except for one thing. The S14 has a piston clamp rear caliper. The calipers have the same bolt pattern actually all of the Nissans have the same bolt pattern. IT would not be cost effective to make them different. I can put the type m calipers on s13, s14, Laurel, cefiro, cima, gloria, and so on. The only thing is the master cyclinders are a little different. I think? You can put R33 calipers Which are the same as R32 calipers. (I AM NOT TALKING GTR) Although they will fit too but that is where changing rotors comes in. The GT-R is a much faster car than the type M skyline and well only a little faster than my S14 (not LOL) I have beaten three GT-R's (I am not kidding) any way the GT-R went to larger rotors while the type m and the Silvia stayed the same size (Back to cost effectiveness) Why spend more on less right? Well they keep all the specs the same for most equipment that is why you can bolt on a GTR intercooler to your s14 with no cutting. You just have to make the piping.

So adey yes you can bolt R33 (type m) calipers onto your s13 and with no mods needed. Since Nissan uses a universial brake line thread that will work too. (Wait.......the 13 has hard lines doesn't it) well in any event if you were to get these calipers you should ask the person if they will get you the caliper and the lines.

Or have custom SS lines made ... that should be ready tomorrow or friday. &nbsp; <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

How much would a dealer run for ($<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>? &nbsp;Also, when you say all four, does this mean front and back?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, just kinda of got lost scanning the thread... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

Well I have no idea what they run at a Japanese Nissan dealership but I am pretty sure it is ahell of alot more than $100. When I say all four I mean I had to buy the 2 front and the 2 rear. Yes I have the two front just sitting around until I decide what to do with them.

damn $100, shit I'd pay $250 for all four! &nbsp;Maybe you could hook something up Ichigo? &nbsp;What type of pads do they take (can you put S14 pads on them)?

damn....sounds like a good deal. &nbsp;Do you have any idea where I could pick up a set of four? &nbsp;I don't think the junkyards here in TX will have any R32 setting around in their lot. &nbsp;Any suggestions would be appreciated. &nbsp;Also, let us know how much they improve the breaking.

Kid Zelda I forgot to mention that I also used the Skyline rear hubs That is how I hooked up the E-brake. Instead of using the caliper for the e brake like the S14 the skyline uses a drum built into the hub. I will use Mountain bike brake cable to extend the actual cable into the hub.

I was about to ask that very same question.

I'm using the Z32 n/a rear hubs, and drum brake <a href="http://kidzelda.freewebspace.com/images/picture_0559.jpg" target='_blank'>http://kidzelda.freewebspace.com/images/picture_0559.jpg</a>

BTW, I've seen the R32 and Z32 rear end side by side ... same thing.
I was also thinking of using a bike cable to extend the e-brake lines, but I re-thought that idea, since it may not be strong enough .. but I have yet to testthe strengh of a moutain bike brake cabel .. so that still may be an option.
Good luck

so basically rear Z32 and R33 brakes are the same "bolt on" affair?
