well i really want a vented cf hood because it gets hot as shit under neath my hood and i want some of that hot air to get out, i also think im going with the origin lab stream front bumper, it looks like it might let a little air in between the headlights also. I need help finding a hood though

I went with a Chargespeed FRP hood for my car. I don't think they make a vented hood for the 180sx, but you may want to consider FRP. It's almot as light as CF and usually cheaper. Just my thoughts.

if you like the origin hood why not just buy it in fiberglass. carbon fiber hoods that retail for less than like 1 grand are useless

D-Drug makes one like that IIRC

there are alot of hood manufactuers out there other than the ones already listed-check v.i.s. and raceonusa.com. i have a vis jun style (if you ae near ohio p.m. me it may be for sale-silvia face though) i have read on a couple other forums though that most of the carbon products are on backorder currently. my local shop told me the same thing-fiberglass products seem to be easier to obtain currently. how about a uras erobon (sp?)hood vent-just add a cheese grater style vent to your current one-way cheaper and better looking than any copy imo....check out raretrick.com for pictures of uras hood vent :bigok:

chmercer is correct. Koguchi Power it is, and it doesn't appear to be available for the Silvia, just 180sx.

uras hood dosent exist, they only sell the vents
if you like koguchi hood but have a silvia front then get a d max hood or somthing, its like almost the same (better imo, koguchi wiper cowl is too big, looks retarded)

^^^ this is Not a Julius Hood.... the Body Kit is... the Hood is Hippo Sleek!!
http://www.hipposleek.co.jp/d-pad_180sx/image/photo1_1.jpg
And, Yes It would cost as much as your first born and take some time to get in the US. Anyone trying to compare VIS, Sebon, Origin, AIT, etc to the $1000+ Hoods in Japan... doesn't know.
D-Max, Hippo Sleek, Koguchi Power, URAS, Yashio Factory, etc...
It you want these hoods... sell your soul, plasma, blood, sperm, organs or anything you think you need to live a healty life... majority of people will not go to this extream... even less will actually purchase one of these hoods!
So stick to the US crap that everyone has so your car can be truely "one of a kind". :mrmeph:

you can buy my bn sports one for 2000 dollars :)
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c297/racetune/MVC-607S.jpg
no actually you cant. it also has the bend and vent at the windsheild, more subtle then the koguchi power one.
KiDyNomiTe
07-18-2006, 06:00 PM
New Origin hoods have that bend in the back and vents behind the bend. Buy an FRP one and mold on URAS vent and you get almost the same effect.
