I just bought a 89 fb. Well I took my car to the dealership for a tune up. Turns out while he is under there he notices that my back left subframe is bent about 1inch! ouch. I went and looked at it I didn't believe it.. and sure enough it is. I was looking at a almost impossible fix.. or to replace it.. $2000 + labor (canadian dollers) damn! Luckily the dealership found a used one for $500 + $500 labor!. But still dammit. I am already paying $700 for timing chain/guide/tensioners.. $200 tune up, $100 exhaust shield.. and now this..

Ouch..

Sorry.. i just had to vent a bit.. kinda depressed right now.

wow I know that it doesn't cost THAT much for a tune-up. I bet you could've done all that yourself, and gotten an exhaust shield from a junkyard and put it on yourself.
Man good luck on everything, hope next time you pay a mechanic to look at the next car you buy before you put your money down.

ya.. i know i should of gotten a mechanic to look at the car first. i bought the car for $1200 canadian.. so i knew that I would have to fix somethings.. it only has 92K miles on it, so it is still in pretty good condition.. just things need to be fixed.

you get what you pay for

People pull off heat shields everyday why spend 100 bucks on something that will eventually rust and rattle. I yanked mine off years ago
