I'm aware of what's going on but don't try to buy everything that comes out.
Most of it it's hype anyways and most 'collectors' buy shit only because of it.
A lot of my friends are into Jordans and Nike SBs.
Personally, I think Jordans got lame arount the J11. The last few entries have been hideous.
If I had to choose a brand It'd be Adidas although I do have a few Nikes, Vans etc in my collection. No crazy numbers though.

i think it's more of trying to keep them fresh. that's why they have so many shoes, and you THINK they never wear them. they'll wear them like once a week, clean em right after wearing em, and a different shoe everyday. that's how they still look/feel so new.

i would have to disagree.....shoes are like cars....they're meant to be beat and used, it looks better too.....gives it more personality. keep in mind though that you can't just beat one pair, you gotta have some rotation to give the shoes a little down time.

What is up with you guys spending all this money on shoes. it;s like ok 23-4 pairs maby. but my friend vinh that foo is insane. he has 6+pairs and counting he resently bought a pair for more than 400$ that is insane. and No don't go on the (why spend so much money on your car thing cause I don't) I mean sure I liek a nice car. but I'm not obsessed with it. I haven;t/ am not going to spend 12K in my car. it;s just 4wheels an a motor. make it look decent and get you places. that;s it. no need for 400HP cars. IMO atleast. I just like to keep things clean and simple. so as far as shoes go. I only need casuals, Dress, and skating shoes. same thing goes with shirts and pants why ave 20million? U only trulyneed no mroe than maby 20 shirts and 20 pairs of pants. that is what 400 possible combinations. think about it I rather spend my omney on Having fun. (dating, videogames, movies) but so far my car has been draining it all (motor rebuild) that's just My Opinion tho.

same reason people modify their cars, or collect stamps, or pornos... just because you don't need more than 3 pairs of shoes and a clean car doesnt mean that some people dont want more than that.

Bottom line is, we each do what we do not out of common sense but because we get a personal satisfaction out of it. At least that how it should be. Doing anything to gain the respect of people or to impress them is wack.
I have friends that are into shoes, some that are into cars, comics, anime, soccer, video games, music, etc, etc... and they don't hang out together for the most part. So it's cool that some of my fellow Zilvians share some of my other interests.

I've been looking everywhere for some Koston 3's , I lost an auction for some ebay and never saw any again
my vans I ride in sometimes, mostly just walking, no actual skating in them
I just mostly like the look of skate shoes better in general, but some nike's are sick. More of a shoe to shoe kind of thing for me.

Yea i used to skate in Red/White Koston 3's, but the toe cap totally ripped off after a few sessions. I like my Koston 01s a lot, really good for skating.
