Well, the 240RS Maxi had its first shakedown event this weekend and for the most part everything went very well. We tuned the car last week but ran out of time approaching 5500 rpm so we set a limit of 5500 for the event and 1 bar of boost. We didn't get to do any power pulls but on the instant torque readout it was just under 180kw at 5300. The turbo starts spooling at 2100 and full boost is achieved by under 2800. The ALS isn't set up yet but on the track the car feels like a V8 with virtually no lag. The suspension is great for not being sorted at all and the brakes were unreal once they were bedded. I was having to come in after a few laps to cool down for a minute or so and I think a washer will be put in place of the thermostat. Here is a video that my buddy took of the car in action. My understeering off at the hairpin was just after changing the brake bias in the wrong direction :) With 1.8 bar and 7500-8000rpm I'm definitely going to have my hands full. Its already very quick. I will post some dyno sheets once we get back to the dyno on Sat. This turbo is insane. 150 degrees in the cabin was hot. I literally lost 5 lbs over the weekend.

Good to see a road race 240!! Car sounds like it has alot more in it as well.

That left hander about half way through the video was a little moment as well. But boy, does that car sound like a rotary :naughty:

Damn bill, that's insane.

We just had a drift event over here and the abient outdoor temp was at 106. Fucking motor killer. But i was lucky, my water temps stayed between 88-94C while drifting for the most part. And that's hot lapping, so i can't complain.

Can't wait to see your beast fully tuned and proper redline. PSYCHO.

haha, it does sound sorta like a rotary

Looks good, guys! The car looks so much smaller without that rear bumper

I'm so excited to hear this thing at 7500. It just starts getting raspy at 5000 and then the limiter cuts in.
