Im new to the forums and i seriously plan on buying a 240 as a project car in the future. I have many questions but my main one is on a S13 front end conversion. Ive seen a bumper that looks slightly similar to the K's bumper on the S13 only it has the same slot on the other side as well as the one already there. I am wondering where i could find a bumper like that here in the US? There will surely be more questions to follow.
you already have an s13 front on your car, you realize that, right?

Let me rephrase that, im talking about a JDM front end conversion, meaning i dont want the flip ups since i plan on buying a coupe.

I'm not sure if I know what you're asking for.... I think you mean you want the s13 projector headlights... have you ever tried ebay? b/c that's the best place to start. I wouldn't be so conserned about the conversion. work on brakes, suspension, and wheels first.... and use that search tool... most of the questions you'll ask are already answered.

the bumper i saw that i liked was one i viewed on veilsides website, it sais front half bumper and im confused as to what that means. Not only that but the bumper has two seperate holes versus the K's bumper. Im into going all out on the car, body, engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, interior, audio. Im not kidding when i say all out.
Heres a link from the website here of what im looking for.

guys you are assholes...lol. fnf3 get to yah little newb? s13 is the chassis code, and no matter coupe or fast back, the s13 is a 1989-1994 240sx. in japan, the s13 comes stock with the pop up headlights, jdm/usdm is the same. you want a silvia front end conversion on your car. now get off your lazy ass and search for the rest of the information. done helping.

I'm too tired to flame.
The bumper you are talking about is an oem aero bumper.
Unless you have tons of money, you better just stick with a q's bumper.

listen... if you're a newbie...you're gonna get a little shit. That's the way it goes... everyone got it... as for the bumper... at first I didn't know what you were asking for, but now I can see that you want to identify a bumper. That bumper you're talking about is not the veilside bumper it's an oem bumper like !zar! said. It's expensive...and hard to find... so get the veilside thingy or look for something else.

Search or be flamed. A search on google took 30 seconds and I found what your talking about. Its a Silvia Aero Bumper. !Zar! is right, be prepared to pay. I have seen them go for as high as $300+ for the Bumper alone. *a

check nissan -> s13 aero
"s13 silvia aero front bumper" $650
ask them if its the same one. i'm guessing it is.
newnismolvr
07-04-2006, 11:57 AM
thank you azn poppy, and to 90 silvia if you look at the site to bumper from the pic given it looks nothing like the aero bumper, the aero bumper actually has larger grills in those slots. The bumper in question looks like the K's bumper plus the same slot on the other side. 240 speed nobody deserves to be flamed unless their stupidity equals that to a iq of 60. I ask a question, all i need is an answer. to zar since this is a project car money is no object, this car will be a keeper and i know people wholl say youll change, i plan to stick with the car i get as a project and put my life into it. So enough with the flaming, this isnt the myspace forums.

Dude, the bumper you showed resembles nothing of a K's front bumper. The bumper you showed looks similar to a Chargespeed:
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/ntnsracing_1903_20761327
This is a K's front bumper (Gold Two Tone/Take your pick, all 3 versions are present):

As far as this not being it, Search. I am done man. If this isnt the one, search for after market kits. Try Zeal, Bmagic, Bomex, Origin, Dude I can go on all night. Just search. Dont mean to be a dick but thats how I learned and amassed all my knowledge on S13's. Believe me, I have had my far share of flamingsvtoo. And Not only search here but google. Its simple and elegante the way you think it up. Sure the chargespeed half bumper is there but thats basically a lip. Like the K's bumper id like to find the one that has not only the hole or slot on the one side but also in the other, if i absolutely have to custom do it then whatever. If there is the bumper out there that i am looking for ill pay the price willingly.

your fucking numb. you should source a car before anything. I bet you i can tell you the first mod on your "list" you plan on for the poor s13 you manage to get. Some nice shiny Altezza's or a loud exhaust from Autozone, I am right? Do I win a prize or go home empty handed? btw, a half bumper is exactly whats its called. it covers half the bumper. it goes from the bottom of the bumper and covers up to usually the license bracket leaving the upper portion uncovered. a lip is a lip. it goes on the bottom of the combination. dude, did you like skip 3rd grade cause your comprehention skills are worse then my knowledge on wankel's. You should watch ff3TKdrift. It's a good watch. Because people who konw about cars can laugh at what's wrong.
And people who don't know about cars can oogle at what looks, "sick".
But in all due respect, you could've found out most of what you wanted by searching, or at least looking through the pic thread.

No altezzas are gay and i am not stupid. With money being a concern i would replace whatever is needed, ie suspension, brakes. Once i get another 6G's get a SR20 motor. My goal hp is only at about 350 to the crank. And if i went for an exhaust i would buy quality not shit. I will admit i dont know much about body parts for cars hence why i asked the god dam question. I am not retarded and i dont deserve to be flamed in such a manner. I am not mexican, altezzas are GAY. So b4 you start making judgments so quickly, learn about the person then make judgements. If you would like my list of performance parts planned for the car i will be more than happy to pm you the list.

Well since this will be a project car, many things will need to be replaced. I knowing that will replace what might be needed as far as brakes are concerned and suspension. I would even be willing to buy a 240 thats been in an accident in the front as i would go ahead and replace that anyway with the S13 Silvia front end conversion. Dont be so quick to make judgements, i did plenty of research on cars altogether. I know a good amount but not everything.

Altezza's style lights arn't gay, you people are tripping hard.
With the right aero and wheels, they look sick.
Once I fit my overfenders, and get them painted I'm going to rock altezza lights.
I'd trade my kouki's for them.

Here is your bumper and where you can buy it:

I'm sure if you want to start to get respect from people here, your best course of action is to start actually building the car rather than just saying what you're going to do with it.
Also, quit taking everything so personally, you talk about all these mods on a car you don't even own yet, and take offense when ppl make fun of you for it.
In reality, the first thing you should do is buy the car, register and insure it, get some decent tires, and take it to one or more of the following, and learn to enjoy the car before just throwing parts at it.

impactred, i understand what you are saying. Yet i can make plans for the car if i so choose. I take stuff personally because that is who i am, i am a very serious person, i dont like to beat around the bush. Like i said i would rather plan ahead and know what parts i want on the car b4 i do get it. Plans are of course things to be placed into motion and that will be decided upon my own will.

Pic of the emblem you are going to put on? *a
When you buy the headlights, make sure you buy them brandnew, the extra light they put out will be worth it, as many people complain about the light output of their used Silvia non-projectors.
Also if you are going to dump that many parts into the suspension, you should add rear upper control arms and pineapple bushings to your list.
A turbo timer will also lengthen the life of that expensive turbocharger you're slapping on.

I can't believe you actually listed "silvia emblem" as a mod.
Hope you never get a 240, but if you do, you might want to add "driver skill" onto the list of stuff you need.

wow....im surprised you havent gotten much more negative rep....why did you pick the 240sx for your 'project car'?what is your main goal? why does it look like you went to a website that supplies 240sx/silvia parts and you just started picking what you thought would be good? why the fuck are you going to pay 6k for a silvia motor, when you could spend 6k on a ka24de build it up, and turbo it, and have way more fun with it? lol....you need to search, research, then rethink what you really want to do. why not just get an s14 and build that? is it because s13's are cheaper? what 'tuner' crowd did you come from? and did you see fnf3? its ok to say yes, we wont flame you any more than we have.
here's what you need to do, in this order:
1.get an s-chassis
2. learn the 'feel' of a rwd car. way different than hondas.
3. enroll in an hpde even or if you want to be a fanboy drifter, find out a local drift day through the regional section.
4. crash your car, but do it on a track, so you wont be considered a ricer from drifting on the streets, then buy your silvia 's13' front end conversion, OR stick with the popups, because they are cheaper, and they allow you to go lower with coilovers legally.
5. buy some coilovers, kts is a good 'beginners' choice, cheap, reliable, etc.
6. get an lsd at teh same time as your coilovers. dont get helical unless you are going to roadrace, as its not good for drifting.
7. get a bucket seat.
8. go 5lug once you realize you want some badass rims.
9.get aero, after you have your 'stance'( rims/suspension)
10. time to upgrade your motor.
basically, drive the car stock, keep driving, start adding suspension components, keep driving, get more stuff, keep driving, learn more, keep driving...etc.etc.

wow....im surprised you havent gotten much more negative rep....why did you pick the 240sx for your 'project car'?what is your main goal? why does it look like you went to a website that supplies 240sx/silvia parts and you just started picking what you thought would be good? why the fuck are you going to pay 6k for a silvia motor, when you could spend 6k on a ka24de build it up, and turbo it, and have way more fun with it? lol....you need to search, research, then rethink what you really want to do. why not just get an s14 and build that? is it because s13's are cheaper? what 'tuner' crowd did you come from? and did you see fnf3? its ok to say yes, we wont flame you any more than we have.
here's what you need to do, in this order:
My main goal in general is to make the car into something track ready but still have some driveability on the streets. I know in Cali thats a huge gamble with all the laws they have there. Im not fond of the KA24 motor, i understand the comment about there is no replacement for displacement but i believe the SR20 is lighter than the KA and the KA i know is more torquey. Drifting would require a tire sponsor so you can waste away tires and not care. I tossed around the S14 for a while but i am trying to go a cheaper route. Also another thing on KA motors is they often have over 100K miles on them, at that rate id replace the motor anyways. When you say tuner crowd please explain that. Honestly no i havent seen fnf3, i know its even more retarded than the 1st fnf or 2nd one was. All because they put some country hick in it and Bow Wow, come on whats worse is i saw the pictures of what appeared to be a chevy aveo with a purple interior and a lime green paint job with fists, all i have to say is that is extremely gay. As for the cars in the movie, i hear some where done somewhat decently. On #4 i know that already, im not going to race on the streets cause its plain stupid, not only do you risk your life but you risk other peoples lives. On #5 coilovers are a no brainer because that way i can make the car a reasonable height for racing or for regular everyday type driving. I imagine when you say bucket seats you mean racing seats with harnesses? #8 5 lugs seem expensive but if i find the right kind of rims, itll be done. #9 and 10 are exactly what i would do. I know i should first replace whats needed but if the motor is already in bad shape i would take care of that as soon as funds would allow. Not only do i want performance out of the car but i want looks too. Its the project i want to do as much as i possibly can.
umm, actually if you want to drift, start out with the KA. You'll be able to use cheap used 15" tires, and learn car control before moving up to the higher speeds where you'd need more power and stickier more expensive tires.

i dont think im going to do drift albeit i hear its extremely fun. Its a huge waste of tires. Then again if the tires are cheap enough who cares.

so your not gonna drift because the tires are too much??? but you'll pay for an ARC radiator(they cost about 1k)???? if your not gonna drift why are you building a 10K motor?? to drive 60mph down the street?? please get your shit straight. your getting flamed cuz you have no clue what you want.

Blah, blah, blah...Also another thing on KA motors is they often have over 100K miles on them, at that rate id replace the motor anyways. Blah, blah, blah...
Yeah you really need to read more... I have 120K on mine and it runs like a beast. A Ka with 100k miles on it is just getting warmed up/broken into. They'll hold up for a long time. Read and come back with serious questions...please.

Can someone please lock this soap opera already? The kid doesn't even have a car and we're on page three of a debate about hood emblems and radiators. After reading that 'mod list' I'm amazed this fanboy is still around, you guys aren't be hard enough on him.
