New Cams

Well I made some extra money on my Trip to Thailand and the wife gave me my share and I picked up these Tomei 256 Cams and Gears. Will be throwing them in on the 3rd along with the 550's. I will have to street re-tune on the 4th and 5th cause the 9th are the Drag Races Here and I plan on running in the acuated class. Here is a Pic:

SAFC II for now. It is good but not the best. WIll upgrade to PFC DJetro, but I have been learning to tune myself and the SAFC II is easy enough...Once I throw the 550's in I know I will have to back off fuel. I am hoping to be at a solid 300 after the cams are in and Turb the Boost up to 1.1 Bar. I am Running about .9 right now and it pulls nice...we will see.

They are "Pon" Cams. "Pon" in Japanese basically means "Drop In" There is no other motor modification required. The Pro Cam will require you to change out lifters and make ither adjustments.


Oh I always got Rocker Arm STopper. ANyone upgrading CAMs may as well throw them on at the same time.

Cool...I was just wondering though, when you said actuated class did you mean the class primarily revolves around internally wastegated turboe'd cars? Sounds like they get real crazy with their street cars out in Japan.

yes they have an Acuated Class, it is the lowest class. My car is slow compared to the 500-1000 HP cars that race at the track. I'm talking S13's with RB27's running SIngle T88's and shit...

I was there on a 2 month Deployment. While there I made about 3 Grand in Perdiem. It's my 7 th Exercise in Thailand since I have been in, so I know how to live on the cheap....Gotta love Per Diem! Usually when I go somewhere and make per diem the wife lets me take 1/3 of it since I coulda blown it while I was there..kind of like a maintaining discipline award///.
