Trilogy is proud to announce its largest drift event yet to be held at the Orange Show Fairgrounds in San Bernardino, CA Oct. 20-22 with limited practice available for the 18th & 19th. Drift circuit will be designing the course, and in DC tradition, we will be treating drifters to a Japan inspired course.
The judges are right from the heartland of drifting, Japan.
$5000 dollars worth of cash prizes, and this number goes up everyday!!!
Spectators for the Trilogy event will pay $75 for all three days of entertainment while Drifters entering the event will pay only $65 to compete. Competitors have access to the Drift Circuit lot at Trilogy as well as 100% access to the entertainment side of things for 10 bucks less than the average ticketholder. Even better, there is a cash purse for the winners of the final competition on Sunday. Three judges will be flown out from Japan to professionally score your runs and to determine who drives home with the trophies.

There is plenty of room left for drivers.

Who are the judges? Who's allowed to enter? What are the rules? What will the course be like? Walls? Safety requirements? What is the max amount of drivers? How many are registered? How many pros are registering?
ISTOTOSAO

You can always count on chris to lay it out there.
And the orange show has some of the worst pavemant I have ever seen.
Chasmoore04
07-15-2006, 08:23 PM
The judges are from Japan. I belive one is the owner of MAX parts.
Anyone is allowed to enter who hasn't placed top 32 in any D1 event or top 24 in any FD event.
There are 51 registered as of now, we wont cap the event inless it gets out of hand.
Pros? It depends on what you def. of a pro is.
The pavement isnt that bad (nicer then qualcomm), and thats a bad excuse not to go.

It's too bad that the comp is the same day as JD top drift battle or I would have definitely gone. The cash prize is tempting though.

:werd: I'd like this info too.
Judges are to be announced soon.
Only amateurs are allowed to enter. No seated or current pro drivers.
This course is in a massive parking lot with a coned off course. There will be cement barriers along the perimiter of the massive parking lot.
Your car will have to pass a safety and tech inspection. Same as any practice or competition. No roll cage because no tandems. Of course helmet.
Currently 80 drivers are registered. Cut-off is 100.
Since this is an Amateur only drifting contest, I would have to say no pro drivers are registerd.
Go to www.Driftcircuit.org for more specific questions or email Dan at

Friday Oct. 20th is qualifying day. It will be announced how much time on friday is practice, and when qualifying begins. Everyone will know on friday if they qualified. Sat. is a practice day, only if you qualified on friday. Show off in front of the large crowd all night. Sunday is competition day. It is unsure if practice time will be allotted on sunday, before the comp. We are hoping time allots it.
Even if you don't qualify, the $65 includes a 3 day pass to the event to spectate and watch all the concerts!

I think alot of people are either waiting to see if this thing is for real or to see the schedule for friday and how much time they will get. Just my .02 but I know you guys plan on starting around 4:00pm and to get a 100 people with qualifying runs seems like there would be no time for practice. Everyone I emailed at drift curcuit has still not answered me back either. I'm sure there busy but I'll pay as soon as some of my questions are answered.

Flybert
09-29-2006, 07:13 PM
It's not a practice event. It's a comp. Don't expect good practice time at a comp. You should be able to figure out the course after a few runs so it's not about practice. Sometimes at comps you get a lot of practice in but sometimes you get hardly any at all. That's just how comps are.

Sad but cool. If less people show up I have a better chance of making it to Sunday. Yah for me, but less people drifting doesn't show that this sport is alive. Come on, a $65 dollar event! Now where else are you going to find that. Hope people can make it. I'll see you then.
