Wow, that actually makes the corners look dull in comparison. Wonder how it would look like with origin or supermade corners.

Nice. I wasnt aware there were any amber corner lights. How much are a pair of amber bumper lights anyway? There oem for euro 200sx or is it australian? Id like to see what that looks like when youre done.

If you bought the lights with the high beam plug/harness, it's the same connector as the foglight. Just cut a plug off a salvage car and wire it in. If not, you can get the Kouki headlight plug/harness and cap and it's close, just needs an o-ring to seal it tight.

What's funny is that the corners looks so clear compared to USDM headlights but when you put the glass headlights it throws the flow. I had the origin/supermade corners but it didn't flow either. (IMO) the clear FK lenses match well...but I guess I'm bias cause it's what I decided to keep :bigok:

My bad! The corners in both the pics are the same...just lighting and angle is different. I have FK clear lenses on stock corners. I had the origin/supermade but didn't take any pics...didn't think it flowed well though so I sold them.
The install is not hard but really annoying. The lense is oversized so you have to trim it a bit. When you heat and pull off the stock lenses you have to be real carefull w/ the glue. If it sticks to the reflector it'll look like ass...and you can't clean it cause it will show the scratches. I had to buy an extra corner cause I messed up the first. I used clear silicone to seal them together. After it's sealed the the edges where it's glued look nasty so I masked the center and painted over the edges w/ black. Came out decent and gives character I guess.

Nah it's just the angle. They are both Glass headlights w/ FK corners. Sorry for being so confusing too many thoughts in my head!
I have amber overlay's... I may even just put them over the corners... well see when those other parts come in... eh eh ...
Ill work on getting a harness this weekend so i can plug in the high beams... I just didnt want to make a direct connection... I like being able to unplug stuff :-/

Oh, okay. Thanks for clearing that up. :D
So I took my car out for the first time at night since I installed the headlamps...
and ill be... the HIGH BEAMS WORK!
They come from the same spot as the low beams... I guess its the same on the OE as well, but crap... Ive never looked!
I am guessing the other harness is just for running lights? Ill hook it up eventually... but pretty sure its just a running lamp...

Wow, that's scary. The outer beam is a high/low, the inner beam is high only. Yes you can drive with just the outer highbeam but the inner one is there for a reason. OE lights are just like that here too. You sure you work at a Nissan dealer? :ugh:

I figured since it went on that was the high beam...
Sorry, I dont stand infront of 240's flashing the high beams... :-/ I know what all the bulbs are in there, but yeah, mostly part numbers... :-/
the high beam function works, weither or not it is fully or not, didnt know till now... I thought if i put the high beams on it would just go dark... thats why I was supprized...

Thats why I just sit here. I just introduce myself and then if anyone wants to they come ask me. I find myself giving other people business when I know they have it. You can only advertise and push so much, the rest just "happens" .
In the mean time I just read and learn to make myself much more resourceful.
Ohh yeah postwhoring FTW :)

Jason - never met you, but you ARE an advertisor and I would expect better behavior from someone attempting to run a business.
Russ - I have been to your house, shop and favorite watering hole, I consider you and I to be "friends," you know how much I hate to HAVE to do work for something that could have been avoided.
Justin - I HAVE met you on more than 2 occasions, and I would expect better of you as well.

Nice job Jason, congratulations. You've taken your first step toward having better lighting.
Now, before you waste time with a bullshit HID retrofit kit (because I know you will), come buy a set of REAL bulbs for your high and low beams, because I know you dont have the GOOD shit. :-)
ps: H4 bulbs are for your main low/high beams. It is highly recommended that you connect the secondary H3 bulb for your supplementary high beams.
Pssh.. quit fuckin around people, you ALL need better lighting. save the PIAA shit for HIN, cause that shit is weak!

hey jason, can you take a picture of your low beam pattern and PM it to me? or just post it here if you want.
i've got glass headlights too, i wired mine up the same as the original headlights which makes the lows the outside light and the highs are the inside light. i need to wire up the outside light to stay on with the high beam but i haven't really looked into it. how did you wire yours?

your car doesnt have to be luxury, it just has to be built well. just because you're rolling on a pile of shit balls, doesnt mean I am.. let alone the rest of the asswipes here.
dual h1 FOR THE LOSS. take the US-spec lights, dump the projectors and do a quality HID retrofit. take the highbeams, upgrade them with HIR (only available for US-spec lamps, not H1 platform).
so your car is so beatup it doesnt have a lighting pattern, great.. no one cares. but you know what, if you go ahead and slap an HID kit in it.. its pretty obvious that you do care, and i'll be the first to say that the HID kit wont do shit in favor for giving you a quality lighting pattern, let alone one that converts your RHD flare to a LHD flare.

I dont recommend the setup. Zenki owners have little they can do to get better low/high beam performance. Swap the front end, go with more advanced lighting from the kouki with xenon projector conversion.

you're ghetto. dont buy stuff because it looks cool, buy stuff because its bright. but, dont drive with lights that have no control. if thats the case, why not install HID in your high beams and leave those on ALL the time? you'll see, no one else will. you'll cause accidents, thats why.

Thanks, and I'm working on re-doing his entire light setup with more modern components. I drove his car 2 weeks ago, its really fun car and the lights look good - they'll look even better when I'm done with version2.

well i don't see the reason why someone would to swap a kouki front end for just the projectors... personally im planning to keep the zenki front and if i did want to do a swap it would be the S15 lights cause they have a far better projector stock. Anyways, does anyone have a writeup on how to retrofit a HID projector in the Zenki headlights either glass or plastic??

Yep, seen that ages ago. Pretty, but cant say how useable the beam pattern is. Its always best to have a completely transparent lens, as the factory glass effects the lighting pattern.

DONT QUESTION ME! haha, jk..
personally, here are my reasons:
- Aftermarket "clear lenses" are flawed products. You eliminate the lighting pattern (both high and low-beam performance is obviously effected). This means you will absolutely need a low-beam projector conversion. Furthermore, a bi-xenon projector since the high beam performance has also been altered. You also have to take into account that the lens is not nearly as high quality as an OEM polycarbonate lens, which would be less prone to cracking, fading and impact resistance. (Of course, lets not mention the stock plastic lenses which yellow, because this is more due to neglect). Add that up, and not only do you have to do a lot of work to get the projectors installed and sealed, but you also have to create a bezel that looks nice.
Personally, I still prefer the looks of 97-98. Not saying 95-96 isnt nice, but its way too bland for my taste. Its nice, but leans on the luxury look like a stock Lexus SC300/400.
All in all, its a heavy amount of work.. when you can just go with a more updated front-end.
If anything, I think the retrofitted glass headlamps are nice, but still.. probably doesnt have a note-worthy lighting pattern.
