Hey SR20Man
Where in Japan are you?...I am in Tokyo right now checking out some drag cars and tuning shops in and around Japan. I'll be in Tokyo for the next 3 days and then to the HKS plant in Shizuoka on Friday. Here is my rental cell phone number:
0909-872-1755
Call me if you have the time. Maybe we can hook up so I could check out your operation.
Thanks

Hey Chas
I am located in Mie-ken near Suzuka raceway. It's about 2hrs by train from Tokyo. I'll be more than happy to show you around the shop and my friend's shops as well. I along with 3 other shops rented out Suzuka circuit for half a day to do some test runs on a few cars on 20 June. Nissan is also scheduled to test run their new R35 GTR on that same day. They won't allow video cameras or anything of that sort on the circuit while they are running the R35.
I tried calling the cell number you gave but it said you were out of the service area?? Here's my number and maybe you can call me when you get a chance...0909-782-0367
Will be a pleasure to show you around. If you're around long enough I'll take you up to Yokohama to see some pretty cool illegal street racing on Friday night 21 June.

Hey, SR20Man, a friend of mine makes frequent trips to JP. What's the name of your shop, maybe next time he's there, he can pay a visit? Thanx.

Whoa! What a blast I had the other day! SR20Man showed me an experience of a lifetime at Suzuka Circuit!!
It was cool to see the tuning capabilities of the Japanese tuning shops!....truly amazing. It took him about 90 minutes to tune a S15 Spec R Silvia which just had a T78 turbo kit put on that morning. The car dynoed out at 410hp at the shop and after the tuning session it was dynoed at 680! And boy let me tell you....this boy can drive like a bat out of hell! He ran 9 seconds under the course average time set by professional circuit racers with the S15 Silvia. I think the owner may need new tires! Parts are abundant and relatively inexpensive as I bought nearly $7K worth of stuff at his shop! He has everything and anything a SR20DET owner could even imagine! He even knows rotaries!..he showed me a 3-rotor motor in which he had just done bridgeporting and setting it up with twin GT3037 turbos! Awesome!!
Now for the unforgettable memory.....seeing the R35 GTR running the track. This I must say is an awesome car! The Nissan R&D staff made damn sure none of us had video cameras as they ran the R35 on the course. They even had the NISMO R34 GTR on the track as well.
I couldn't believe how cheap the R34 GTRs were....approx. $48K new! and a brand new S15 Spec R Silvia...$17K !!! I saw a 91 twin-turbo 300ZX for $3200 and a 95 RX7 for $5300. Cars are CHEAP here!!! I think I'm selling my house and moving to Japan!
Thanks for the great time and hospitality! I am off to Australia to see what they have "down under" and I am sure nothing will match the experience I had in Japan!

Thats it....I'm moving to Japan. No, just kidding. I probably would have jeezed my self seeing the s15 dyno at 680. SR20man, you rule. Never met cha, but I'm stating it. Now, I have to go to work, cuz I want that Blitz turbo you are selling (sr20man).

600hp is the avg power most of these guys around here are running. I've done some twin GT2540R setups for the SR20 which dynoed at 800hp. The motor was pretty much decked out with all the good stuff, custom ground 307 cams, balanced 2.2 stroker crankshaft, forged pistons, quad plate OS clutch etc etc. The manifold and piping was custom made by a fab shop that makes manifolds for F-1 race cars which cost $2500. I'm working on a twin turbo setup using the T28 S15 Spec R turbos which I'm estimating will make about 580hp using 256 cams.... Once I complete this project the plan is to sell the twin turbo kits for about $1800-$2300....I expect to have this project completed by end of the year.
Just FYI, I don't do ROM tuning, the APEXi Power FC is my choice for an ECU upgrade and ease of tuning which is good for mild to wild tuning!
I also use a data logger system to get a motor within 98.9% of tuned perfection. I highly recommend the Power FC over ROM tuning for those that plan on upgrading their ECUs.

SR20Man, I've been trying to get in touch w/ you re: the Cusco comp-2 coilovers you're selling (were selling?) for the S13 chassis here on zilvia.
I've sent you a PM (~ a week ago) but figured you probably weren't on zilvia too often.
Anyway, drop me a line @ [email protected] if you have time, let's talk about the Comp 2's. :-)
Thanks!
