But on Comedy Central? The same network that still shows Drawn Together? I hope they don't ruin their return...if anything FOX should allow Adult Swim to air the new episodes as well, like how they do with Family Guy.

sweet! I wonder if this means it will get pulled from Adult swim. I heard they were gonna release a full length DVD movie. I wonder if that's still gonna happen.

Comedy Central is bringing it back, not FOX like was the case with Family Guy so why the hell not Comedy Central? It's one of their highest viewed shows ON Adult Swim. They are getting the producers and voice talent of the original back together so I don't see how they would 'ruin' it.
Drawn Together is an intelligent and funny ass show - they're dirty and disgusting at times but still great.
anthony240 - your post sounds like a knock on Comedy Central - the same network that gave us South Park, The Daily Show, Chapelle Show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab, The Venture Bros (woot for new eps!), etc.
Granted they've had quite a few turds like Blue Collar, Save by the Bell (wtf!?) Stella, etc but I gotta praise them for having the balls to try new and unique ideas.

Now if they would only bring back Invader Zim my life would be complete.

Hells yeah! MC Peepants FTW!
Just picked up the Venture Bros. first season DVD. It's an awsome parody on Johnny Quest for those old enough to have seen it or at least caught re-runs. Highly recomended.

FOX, as in 20th Century Fox, is bringing it back.

so why the hell not Comedy Central? It's one of their highest viewed shows ON Adult Swim. They are getting the producers and voice talent of the original back together so I don't see how they would 'ruin' it.
are you saying that Adult Swim is on Comedy Central? It's not, it's on Cartoon Network.

Drawn Together is an intelligent and funny ass show - they're dirty and disgusting at times but still great.
I disagree

anthony240 - your post sounds like a knock on Comedy Central - the same network that gave us South Park, The Daily Show, Chapelle Show,
its a knock on Comedy Central for still showing Drawn together, but i agree for the most part, Comedy Central rocks.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab, The Venture Bros (woot for new eps!), etc.
Again WTF? These shows are on Cartoon Network, unless they are tied with Comedy Central, are they?

Granted they've had quite a few turds like Blue Collar, Save by the Bell (wtf!?) Stella, etc but I gotta praise them for having the balls to try new and unique ideas.

Now if they would only bring back Invader Zim my life would be complete.
I agree

I was hoping the new eps would come on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network since, IMO, their programming brought back interest in the series.

Awww! Stella wasn't a turd!

I see what they were trying to do with the akward/bizarre/ga-ga type of humor. I think Sarah Silverman and Flight of the Conchords do a better job at it though.

FINALLY - Futurama is the best comedy-sci-fi-animated series period! this is great news.

Futurama is the best thing to come out of groening's head. yeah the simpsons is are funny but futurama has the nerdy/geeky comedy that is just clever. Futurama just flat out pwns.

my favorite episodes are the slurm fractory, amazonian planet, and the mars university.

can't wait until the new episodes.

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like Futurama will return since it was taken off the air in 2003. Kicking off this resurgence will be Futurama: Bender's Big Score which "will be released Nov. 27 directly to DVD."

I'd rather see new episodes of Stroker & Hoop and Mission Hill. Stroker & Hoop is hilarious and has the funniest most drawn out characters I've seen in a while, yet it got cut after first season which ended in a cliffhanger, and Mission Hill has really unique animation and good down-to-Earth humor I can relate to, yet they didn't even finish the first season. I don't like any of the new shows on Adult Swim, it seems that now they just cater to people who like to get stoned and look at colorful shapes without having to grasp any kind of an intelligent plot (not really an Aqua Teen fan, haha, don't hate). I guess I'm more into "realistic" shows with storylines and random hidden references, Venture Bros. and Metalocalypse are good right now. Futurama was good at first, but they show it so much that I'm sick of it now, though new episodes should bring in some refreshment.

this show is by far the best cartoon ever created.

satire, nuance, colorful characters and bender, the best part of the show.

glad new stuff's coming out.

excellent post, and i agree with everything you say here. Bender is the best fictional character of all time. to me, Futurama is smart enough to be funny every time you watch it. with Family Guy, it's only funny maybe the first couple times you watch it, then the shock kinda wears off.

Last I heard, the new "episodes" were just going to be the new direct-to-DVD movies cut into normal TV length and aired as a season, just like they did the Family Guy movie, which was cut into three episodes and aired on FOX.

Sealab, Space Ghost, Brak - Adult Swim made their name catering to stoners. Intelligent plot... none of the AS shows have it.

But yeah, woot for Futurama!

Don't really care either way, more Futurama is always a good thing. It's probably the only show that I can watch reruns over and over and never get tired of it. Family Guy is right behind it.
