Im all for nissan's, I drive a nissan 240sx. I was just asking to see what you all thought about the topic. my friend has a EG hatch and he was telling me that it will beat a SR20DET, now I for some reason think thats BS. So I ask everyone here there Opinions, anyone have an experiences or anything to do with a GSR or SR.thanks in advance

B18C in a hatch isn't all too fast. I got my money on the sr20det.

Although i do give you a lil credit for NOT POSTING THIS IN THE TECH forums, you kinda answered your own question.......

Look at the specs.... the sr has MORE HP, and MORE TQ. Unless the hatch weighs 2000 lbs, its a pretty easy answer....providing drivers are equal of course

it depends on whats done to the motors. a stock SR20DET vs a built GSR, the GSR would probably win. built SR would most likely murder any N/A GSR. but in the end a GSR powered hatch isnt nearly as fun to drive as a SR powered 240. you have to rev the crap out of honda's to get any power at all.

eg6 hatch is light. stock it weighs like 2300 lbs curb. easily 4-500 lbs lighter than a stock 240sx.

in the 1/4 i'd bet on the 240sx. better launch and more low end grunt.

If you live near a drag strip, take it there.

The reason some people are annoyed with you is because your question is pointless. If you posted up something informative or cool, then no one would act this way.

All I can recommend is you spend some time reading and getting to know cars a little better. I am not trying to judge you, but if you really want to know who has the faster car, just race.

Download the fsm at zeroyon.com and read it, this will help you learn a lot about your car. If you still crave more information, come on here and search.

Whoever says honda engines are not cool has not ever looked into them. Of course they are FWD, but they are still built exceptionally well.

I hate how stupidity leaks through different car communities. Honda's overall have decent engines, but most of the people driving them are just ignorant. Ok, I am done ranting.

yeah...quit bench racing. quit being gay, and also...hondas suck. in the end, no matter how badass it is, or how fast, blah blah, it's still a honda. and stock to stock, sr20det will tear up a gsr. gsr in a hatch with bolt ons will still lose..because, sr20det with the same boltons will pull more power. intake/intercooler exhaust mani/downpipe, etc. so quit yer bench racing, and dont post another thread like this.

yea this topic is very broad in terms of how each car is set up. stock for stock, the sr has the advantage. However, the civic were to have wieght reduction, it may stand a chance. Either way, we are a 240 forum and are biased. I think you should post this on a non bias forums. Like a kia forums.

Unless they were slightly modded. My moneys on the EG hatch w/b18c1 motor stock for stock. An sr20det with a simple boost controller will kill the b18c1 anyday.
