I want to make myself a silencer for my exhaust, too many exhaust related warnings. I dont want to buy one because 20 bucks or more for one is too expensive in my opinion.

The question i have is, does anyone know what i could use for the body of the silencer?? The aluminum circle with the lip on it.

4.5 inches is what im looking for.

why not just buy one for your exhaust? what kind is it? 4.5 inch silencer is only like 30-40 bucks tops....shit...an HKS silencer is like 40 bucks.

do you know what a silencer sounds like? ive got one for my exhaust and i quiets it down alittle bit but it sounds horrible and when you slow down the siencer rattles. i only use it when i go joyriding so its harder for cops to hear me.

Dude easy.... take a soda can, drink it, then pull off the tab including the little lid things. Cut out on the bottom of it, drill a hole in your exhaust and attach the soda can to your exhaust tip with a nut and bolt. Btw I should mention the end of the can that you drink out of should face outwards. If your exhaust is wider than a soda can, then use a campbell soup can and have the opening the side of a soda can. You are set..
