on the lower piping to the IC on the hot side, there is a 1" port for the BOV. the previous owner had a 1" hose to a Turbo XS RFL. Im about to install an HKS SSQ and was wondering what can i do to plug the port? im afraid if i usea cap and clamps it will blow out or something.

any of you guys have any experience with this greddy piping?

go to autozone or something and buy a plug..... you tighten the nut and it expands. DONE!

I think I had a small piece of hose on the "port" and just shoved the plug in that and clamped it and then tighened the plug.

go to lowes or home depot, get that 2" pipe cover, its flat and round, its in the black rubber hose sections, get the smallest one you can find, it will tighten up perfectly, never worry about it again.

or you can get a coolant gallon cap and itll fit over it and tape the shit out of it.

Thank you all for the great suggestions.

Trying to find this information using the correct search string was getting frustrating.

If anyone is using this or an alternate solution, please post it and (if you have the inclination) a pic.

Moderator, I would like to suggest this as a great addition to the FAQ's.

Thanks again!

weld that shit and forget it. make sure you have someone who knows what they are doing though. aluminum isnt the easiest to weld.

There is zero reason for this to be in the faq section.

Just go down to a metal shop and have them weld it for you.

Don't do anything ghetto because more than likely it will leak.

Yes, your right, I'm not sure what I was thinking.

I'll see what shops are in the area.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

^^ what he said, they are like temporary freeze out plugs in case one of yours breaks, you put it in the hole and when you tighten down on the nut, it pushes the rubber out and seals it, works perfect

what about that hole that is on the intake pipe? so you have to close that one also?
