I was curious about what this forum thinks about the spec-v. from what i understand, the specs are alil exaggerated for the car. but i also heard it takes about 2000 miles for the transmission to really kick in. the car is supposed to have fairly severe torque steering since its fwd. stepfather works for nissan hq so im actually considering this car. have any of you test drove/raced one?

Ya i heard about the break in period, kinda sucks when you are buying a sports car. The Spec-V comes with a sub, which I have been told is not too powerful, haven't heard it in person though. The car looks good when lowered. I love the interior too. I saw a couple at a Nissan Meet they seem to be nice cars, got a lot of torque. They are fairly cheap cars, and if your stepfather works for nissan you can get it even cheaper.
I personally would pic a 240 over it, but it is one of the last of a dying breed of sports Sedans (in the US). Headover to B15sentra.com and get some more info on them before you get one.
but since your uncle can get you a deal, if you have the loot get a 350Z or a G35 coupe, I just love the look of those cars.

I think the new Sentra is really cool. I got to test drive it for about two hours a few months ago (the sales guys just love my 240 and are always tryin to get me to sell it to em). It was nice. I noticed no torque steer and I assume it has a lot to do with the LSD on the car. The drive is definitely different than RWD just because the wheels are pulling you while you turn instead of pushing you. It was nice. Transmission was hard to get used to, and it didn't feel anywhere near as sporty as the 240. If I liked it more than my 240, I could buy one right now, but the 240 is just so much more of a car. It's way sexier too <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

For the price that car rocks. And I would give my right eye for the seats that are in it. They rock. The torque Steer is bad, but you get used to it real quick... it is quick but not fast though... but it will beat a stock and even lightly modded 240 pretty easy. I have driven 2 of em, my best freind bought one, and a guy at work... I love that car, and like I said for the price you can't miss...

It's a perfectly great car for someone that just wants to plop down $20k and get into a flashy looking sedan with good handling.
For my money I'll take a '91-'94 SE-R, though.
