k I am answering this twice since you made a new topic on something that you asked about in your last thread. read thisPoor people need speed too (http://www.zilvia.net/f/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=10818)
First thread. HELP HELP (http://www.zilvia.net/f/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=11425)
I went back 12 pages, if you really want to find that info, it's in here somewhere. I don't think that's a great idea, and I feel the same as Hipposleek, I don't think that you need to go that fast. I know that I don't.

the limiter is put there for a reason. unless you have a lot of aftermarket work done that would possibly warrant the need for you to do this then i say stop what you're doing and don't think about it anymore.

No harm meant when I say this, but I think silvia driver asked a fair question, whether or not it's "needed" or not.
As much as I didn't think I'd ever hit my GTi's rev/speed limiter, there are times (i.e. on long road trips) where those kinds of speeds are just short of warranted or "safe".

Yeah, you can always argue that no one needs to go 115 mph, but neither do we need power seats or air conditioning. Give the guy a break we all like to ("need" to) let loose once in a while, even if it does mean putting ourself and car in a little bit of 'danger'.

That said, I'm sorry I can't help too much -- I got rid of the speed limiter and raised the rev limiter on my GTi with a GIAC "chip", and can only suggest a JWT (?) "chip" or similar for the 240... though I don't know what (else) it'll do for you. The *expensive* way to do away w/ the Speed Limiter would be to buy an HKS SLD (Speed Limit Defenser) or similar device.

Here's how:

Go to 240sx.org (http://www.240sx.org), click FAQ, and scroll down and click "Rev Limiter / Speed Govenor".

It will give you the procedure there.
