My car is having mad electrical problems. As soon as the battery is connected. The brake lights stay on, the windshield wipers turn on and stay on, the door chime stays on even though no headlights are attached. The car wont even start because of these problems. What would cause this? Unplugged dash wires?
Car is a 93 hatch with a ka24e

is the car lowered? if it's too low, the harness in the wheel well may be messed up. if not, it sounds like u have a major short in your wiring. look at all the wiring to see look for damage. if it's been in an accident, start there, good luck.

brake light that stays on can mean either your brake fluid is low, or the little button that your e-brake presses on when its down , can be broken.

What happened to the car? Did you do something to it before this problem showed up? A little background may help.
But as mentioned above check for damage to the harness.

it was a 1993 shell that had a 89 sohc swapped into it. I dont think the shop swapped the harnesses just spliced the ecu into the harness that was in the shell

There is your problem right there. You should let people know which shop did that so no one will go there and get screwed over like on this car. The harnesses are DIFFERENT on the 93 and the 89. I cant believe they did that.

good thing i ripped the harness out of the 89 shell the engine was in. FYI the shop was Driftek in Chesapeake, VA

Got locations where the grounds should be? I'm having electrical issues as well and was told its mostly likely the grounds. But, I have no idea about electrical shit, so I wouldn't know where to start.
Sorry to thread jack...
